Skenderbeu
I'm not really sure but i think they do since they are called "Cooking Gauntlets", They should work. NOTE: I'm not sure. - Skenderbeu Hope This Helps
hyjack01
many, many threads made on this topic.. searchbutton? on topic: official response from a jagex mod stated that the gauntlets wouldnt work on monkfish. However, my personal experience is that they seem to make a slight difference (maybe it has been changed in a hidden update)

fx1970
nop, they only work on tuna, lobsters, swordfish and shark :) ~Mystery Wrong wrong and again wrong! you probably never cooked monks... I know it is written in guides that it does not, but in the fact it does affect it. maybe a bug but this is a fact. At 91 cooking I dont burn with gauntlet, but without I still burn some (1 per 2 load). I am sure of it as when I burn one, It is because I am just starting cooking and forgot to put cook gauntlet on. That make me remind me I forgot to put them on (usually I wear barrows). Then I don't burn anymore (have done 5k monks with cooking gauntelet without a burned)

hyjack01
I totaal agree with FX, as i said the official Jagex statement a while ago said that gauntlets wouldnt help, however i have the same experience (at lvl92 cooking) as FX. just 1 burnt in approx 2-3loads without gauntlets. With gauntlets 0!

If it truly helped, I would see a difference when comparing in large quantities.
