Guess the artist!

The idea here is basically pick a random artist's picture, modify it in any way you want and post some hints about him/her. The person who guesses the name will get the right to post the following artist, and so goes the game. :)

 

 

 

Well, let me start it off with an easy one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He used to play on a quite mainstream prog rock band. This band was, at the time, what we could call the closest rival of one of the most progressive bands ever.
