October 10, 200619 yr Okay, as some of you know per the 5 odd topics i've posted moaning about my computer, i recently formatted. I have no sound yet, as my soundcard isn't installed - it's all hooked up the computer, but the install disk is up the loft and i can't get up there for a few days. I'm running a SB Live! 4.1; I've tried running the drivers from their website but it says they havn't detected a sb live card on my system - any idea what i'm doing wrong? cheers.
October 11, 200619 yr open up device manager and look for the soundcard driver. If it is not detected there, then chances are, you need to install the driver straight from the disk for it to display. Downloading drivers from a website can be hard if your not sure exactly what to look for, and i cant stress how many problems come straight by downloading and installing the wrong drivers. October 11, 200619 yr Creative are literally the worst company I've ever found for having drivers on their site. We had to use CD's even in the shop because we had so much trouble getting drivers from their site. My suggestion is to wait and get the driver disk. Notoriously Trollish.
October 11, 200619 yr Author boo @ creative :/ worst is i've basically installed my other drivers with very few problems and difficulties! looks like i'm going disk hunting :)
