Well i havn't done this for a while, so the prices might not all be the same, but it got my old file from 45 herblore to 60 :D

The best potion to use to get exp are prayer potions, as there is always a high demand for these in the market.

1st off you want to buy ranarr weeds (world 2 fally east bank is the best place i found) for about 6-6.5k (the cheaper you get the better)

2nd i would collect the snape grass yourself the prices people sell are rediculous for somthing you can go and pick some up on the floor :-$

When i did this i bought water filled vials on the forums for 180-200ea to save time. but if you want to minimise cost you can buy these from shops yourself

Now you can make the potions \:D/

Next sell your freshly made prayer potions for about 7kea (you make roughly 300gp per potion)

Then repeat

But like i said i did this at the same time whips were still worth about 2.8m

so check the prices before investing to much money

Some options:

Fastest XP, reasonably priced, but won't get your money back:

Harralanders can easily be bought from players for 1Kea. Chocolate Bars and Dust can be bought at the two locations on the second floor of the Grand Tree. Make Energy Potions. (May have a hard time selling these).

Reasonably Priced and you should break even:

Irits can be bought for 1-2K ea. Eyes of Newt can be bought for 3gp ea. Make Super Attack Potions and sell them for 1.5-2K ea at on World 2 Fally or World 18 Edgeville.

You can go the Prayer Pot route, but you will need more upfront money.

The Tip.It's Item Database is currentyly Under Construction, but for now just use the RuneHQ's Item Database. All the prices are updated everyweek with the latest info.

Visit; http://www.Runehq.com , then scroll down and click Items on the left side of the screen

get 20-30 ranarrs (just train on druids or something). it'll take a while, but then you can just make 20-30 pray pots, sell em. buy back the ranarrs for the same price as the pots and just keep flipping em.

that way you need 0gp upfront, with exception to the cost of vials which is negligable

Currently training combat

71/82 Attack

77/78 Strength

71/71 Defense

74/77 Hits

I have seen people trading prayer pots for ranarr weeds, people who cant make prayer pots themselves are always keen to swop...

Then you need to just stock up on water filled vials and snape grass (cheap if you collect yourself)...

This is what I am going to try to get my herblore up for legends...
