The motherboard would come with the SLI conector. SLI usally isn't worth it. Go and get just one powerful card.

The 7900GTs I believe are $250 each so say $500 for both. You can get a single x1950XTX for $410 that beats both of the 7900GTs in SLI.

Here's some proof for you. http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics. ... &chart=216

He just showed you that for the money, 2 is not better than one. Pay attention.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

I run ATI, it's better, but I also agree Nvidia has some pros and some people might just...Like it more? Oh, and ATI sucks for linux :D

The cable should come with your motherboard, if it didnt, your motherboard probably isnt compatible. CHeck your motherboard manufactors page?

I definetly wouldnt get two cards 'now' unless you really have to. I'd wait until DX10.

I'm running a Radeon X1900XT 256mb on a SLI compatible motherboard, unfortunetly not crosffire compatible, but i *might* go SLI depending on statistics after Dx10 cards come out.

Oh...And it looks sort of like a thin paperish .75 inch strip with two 2x1 lego block size connectors. The strip is about....2inch?

(a) You might be wondering what "Dx10" is. It's a 'thingie' (Erm...I'm not that knowledgeable' that Vista will be upgrading from Dx9 that supposively will increase card speeds x8. So, basically, Dx9 cards will be outdated as everything starts using overdone graphics (since they can with such fast cards)
