I'm from england and i dont know but i think ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 is a little more than $5 so if you realy think that there should be a cheaper version then move to america (if your not already there) and pay for members. The reason for ads is mainly to keep f2p going and has nothing to do with updates or anything like that so remember that and think that members are also paying when f2p get the events like the halloween one and that servers take more money than ads generate so members are paying for that as well.

You mean like RuneScape Lite??? While your idea makes sense for the player, it does not make any sense for Jagex. If they were to implement such a playing option, the majority of players would jump from P2P to this "lite" version effectively cutting the amount of income they generated in half. From a business perspective this is unacceptable. My advice, pay your $5 and get over it, otherwise, go F2P and enjoy.

If Jagex was doing anything more than breaking even with F2P ads, they would put more effort into enhancing the F2P experience, and encourage more folks to play it. That would make sense business-wise, as a better F2P environment would mean more users and, therefore, more money.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The fact that they don't make much effort in F2P is a sign that F2P is more-than-likely a drain on resources, not any kind of profit center.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While that idea concept be contrary to the expert analysis of all the 13 and 14 year-old e-commerce business mavens here, I would expect the "F2P is a drain/subsidized by P2P" scenario to be most likely.

well being p2p isnt that expensive, and i hate ads too, jagex will for sure never use this idea.

He is not saying put ads in members he is saying make a members that is suported by ads that you pay less for. This males it so there is f2p, p2p and a mix between the two that is cheaper than members and has less ads than f2p.

I don't think the $5 dollars a month is much. And if you don't have access to a credit card, the $7 isn't much either. It's not hard to save $7 dollars a month to pay for members.

really, its cheap enough. anyone with a minimum wage job or a credit card can afford to pay 5$ a month, and if you cant afford it then you cant afford it, 2 dollars is not going to make that big of a deal, its not going to cut your monthly spending money down a whole lot, i mean cmon, its only 5 dollars.
