  1. Bah...Dungeoneering is of absolutely no interest to me. It is nothing more than another mini-game. I tried it and made level 2...that is where it is staying. Couldn't take anything out of the "dungeon" so why bother.
  2. With regards to dungeoneering, I could care less about it. I made it through to level 2 and quit. It makes no sense to me. Eh, chalk it up to me being too old to try and figure out how this skill really works. I'll stick with slayer...easy for me to figure out...lol
  3. This is a standard RSA FOB. They have figured out how to bind them with your user account. We implement this kind of security where I work. Very interesting to see Jagex use this security method...very innovative as well
  4. Now I enjoy it when Jagex implements updates and doles out decent rewards with those updates. What really bites my goat is the fact that these updates do not take into account that suddenly....EVERYONE wants to do the same thing at the same time. Take the newest slayer update for example. I spent an hour last night hopping worlds just to finish my steel task. I was not alone either...a couple of other players were doing the same thing as we kept meeting in different worlds. I understand that this may be a fad for many...get the cool new stuff...but I think Jagex really should plan a little bit better and temporarily increase the supply to meet the demand. This goes for all updates, not just slayer. With every new update that promises the chance at a new reward that looks cool, the area(s) associated with that update is always over-crowded beyond belief. Once the fad dies down...things return to normal. Look at the Mith dragons or GWD...they are now 'old news' and not as crowded anymore. Just my 2 cents worth I guess. Meta
  5. Revenants are irritating to say the least. I was RC'ing the other day and got hammered on by an ork. I made it through the abyss with 5 hp to spare. As for scary factor, they have none. They are more like that big ol' zit that appears just before a date...painful and ugly.
  6. Give me a break...What do you people want? After reading about the update and why it was implemented, I have to side with Jagex. Runescape is a fantasy role playing game, not a fantasy financial market. As for PK'ing, I am glad to see it moved to a single spot. I hated worrying about someone trying to ice me while I was following a clue or RC'ing. If i want to PK, then I will go to the proper spot. These updates are not to be blamed on Jagex, but on RL traders, gold farmers and bots. Y'all whined about them not fixing those problems and when they do, their fix does not suit your needs. Go ahead and quit, there are other games out there that cost more money. You will start complaining there just like you complain here. I am sticking around...I enjoy Runescape as it is. Meta Mucil
  7. It is funny how people are missing the reason behind the Duel Arena change. Real world traders are the ones to blame for this. They meet up with the person who bought their goods at the arena, duel them and lose. Voila', a violation of rule 12 has occurred without fear of either party involved being banned. If people did not abuse this loophole, the Duel Arena would never have been changed. Kudos to Jagex for plugging up another means of cheating in the game.
  8. Turning 40 in a couple of weeks... :ohnoes: I am an IT manager in Wisconsin/2nd year college student. My entire family enjoys Runescape. My wife and I are constantly battling to outdo the other in skill levels.
  9. Very impressive display of craftsmanship!!! Is that perhaps a new bot killer to be released in a future update?
  10. Username: Meta Mucil Ranged Level: 72 Attack Style: Rapid Item Used: Rune Crossbow /emerald tipped mith bolts (enchanted) Max hit: 19
  11. I went runecrafting at the abyss with my zammy cloak on... :wall: By the time I made it back to Edgeville, the ancients pker had me down to 4 hp out of 84.
  12. I always pick the box...Usually I get the boot or some other piece of random junk. The last three boxes were a little better, 2 mith scimitars and a diamond.
  13. There always has to be somebody hoping to squeeze money from updates. Swimming?...as a skill? :-X
  14. I just finished a level three clue and was blessed with 25 lobsters, 27 bloods and 15 green firelighters!!! Random or not, the rewards seem to be getting worse.
  15. Gratz!!! I remember the first time I went down there...like a kid in a candy store I was! The strength and attack bonuses provided by the barrows gloves and rune boots help tremendously. I wear my initiate armor (haven't done slug menace yet), unholy symbol, obby cape, dragon gloves, rune boots, ring of wealth, anti-fire shield and whip. I take 4 anti-fire pots, 12 prayer pots, 2 super attack pots and 2 super strength pots (all 4 dose) In addition, I bring 50 nats and 250 fire runes. After a while, the dragons start to ignore you if you stick to one area. When I am done, I home teleport and bank my new loot!!
  16. While I do not have a screen shot, the mysterious enclosure just to the north of Falador might be considered a "wonder" There are many strange symbols on rocks in there...a sort of Stonehenge type of place.
  17. I got a gnome to kill a ninja monkey for me. I went to the building with the sleepy monkey in it, changed to human form and ran to a safe spot behind a crate. The gnome came in and handily dispatched the monkey for me. I changed back to a monkey and picked up the bones.
  18. Skyrocketing prices???...Give me a break. Each player is fully capable of collecting their own resources. Only the lazy players who buy their way to a 99 cape are worried about high prices for raw materials. I know economy is important to the game, but c'mon people, there is much more to this game than making pixel money. The bottom line is...the macroers/gold harvesters/bots...whatever you want to call them have got to have their numbers greatly reduced. They are making it far too easy for wealthy players to buy that precious cape. Meta Mucil
  19. It wasn't really a scam, it was more of a deceptive trade. My youngest son, who is relatively new to Runescape, was duped by another player into buying Zamorak robes for 2k bowstrings. The poor kid thought he was getting the God robes from the treasure trails, instead, he got worthless red crap for his hard work. It takes a big person to take advantage of someone else like that. Things like this drive people away from the game. He hasn't played since this happened. A "thank you" to the immature [expletive deleted] for showing a young boy that scamming is far easier to get what you want than honest play. Meta Mucil
  20. This is very true. Once I was alching several hundred bows in the Catherby bank (about an hour of alching I would say) and the entire time an individual was begging for 300k because that person apparently just died and needed the money. It made no sense to me why someone would waste an hour begging when they could have earned that much or more in the same time frame. I generally do not give anything to beggars other than advice on how to make money themselves.
  21. Aw c'mon peole...we already have summoning (well sort of). Each time you bury a pile of bones, alch a bow, chop a tree, etc. you have a good chance of summoning a mysterious creature who gives you wonderful items if you help them out. It is truly amazing...especially when you die because of the timing of the summoning spell!!
