There's been way too many posts about people leaving and coming back. Usually it's by the same people anyway! Anyway, I think there should be a sticky or a board that people can post on if they are leaving or coming back.

There was one a long time ago. I can't remember what happened ago.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was an 'introduce yourself and ask any forum-related questions here' sticky.

I came here to ask for the same thing so ill just bump this one up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There was the "forum gates" or some such board which was for new members although it seems to have disappeared, i suspect from underuse since it was located at the end of the forum list.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Id like to see a "Player annocments" forum located in the Runescape discussions section between blogscape and bugs and sugestions. This forum would be used for comings, goings and general thank yous (eg, thanks to player x for letting my join them at dag kings) and so on.

I think such posts are pretty rare, and when they do come, if nobody cares, they fall back down really fast. When important people do leave, it's good for them to get it out to a larger audience. I doubt a board solely for players coming and going would get many views except for those kind of people who want high post counts. There have been bigger problems in terms of board creation than the need for something like this.

Not to in any way discredit the various people who are leaving (or already have) and created such topics, but I think they are kept afloat mostly by those people you mentionmed trying to raise there post count. For example in the Sedition: good bye to RS thread most of the posts were from randoms who admitted to not know him, not that he didn't deserve those post but it does reflect what you said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IF think if those "really importent people" leave then those who actually want to leave well wishes will have no trouble finding the thread and posting in it.
