The majority of the time, from my experience, the context is nothing to do with beating someone else at something. The majority of the time, from my experience, the context is nothing to do with beating someone else at something. its origin came from that though, and its spirit of happiness was extended to other contexts, and the origin died off as a result. Although it could be the BUMP and Bring Up My Post dilemma (where it looks like the latter led to the former, but it is the other way round).
