October 27, 200619 yr OK, I'm just going to number my questions and let anyone who wants to answer them, do so. 1. Is the giant mole aggressive? 2. Are there any monsters besides the mole in its lair? 3. If I dig while underground but have a lit candle or lantern, do the insects still attack me? I couldn't find the answers to these questions on the tip.it site, so I figured somebody could help me out. October 27, 200619 yr 1. No it is not. 2. Tiny moles, cannot attack or be attacked by. 3. Insects only attack when light source goes out. I do not recommend a candle if fighting giant mole. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !

I do not recommend a candle if fighting giant mole. ditto on the candle. use the best light source you can afford/have firemaking to use. bullseye lantern is best, will never go out while fighting mole. only need fm49 for lantern or fm26 for oil lantern. goblin miners helm is also a lightsource (fm65) but not as bright as the bullseye lantern. it does however free up a space in inventory if you don't mind not wearing head armor.
October 27, 200619 yr yea, i use a bullseye lantern when i mole hunt. If one doors closes.... you better hope the next door isnt on fire.
