Minsc90
Im having trouble deleting a folder and its contents. I deleted everything but a [Caution: ExecutableFile] fill and .dll file. When i click the delete button on the file it comes up with a error message saying "access denied. check the file is not read only or disk is full" i have checked the properties of the folder and it was read only, i then turned of the read only optoin and clicked apply. I then tryied deleting it again but the same problem. I click properties and somehow it had gome back to read only. Does anyone know how to fix my problem thanks
Chris
It's probably running. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL, select Processes and look for the [Caution: ExecutableFile] you're trying to delete. Click it, and click End Process. Click 'Yes' when it prompts you, try deleting the folder after that. If it doesn't work, you might have to start up into Safe Mode to delete it. Which I'm sure someone will help you with, as I'm going to bed right about... N...Zzzz. Notoriously Trollish.
Minsc90
Thanks ill try that. How do i enter safe mode?
Cruiser
Hold F8 before the windows loading screen appears. Instead of the loading screen you'll get a list of Safe Mode choices to choose. Any will work for deleting a file.
