Teleportation with Skull Sceptre

So I was walking around with my skull sceptre, because it looks freaking awesome, and some guy starts following me and complaining about how it sacks (censor evasion, much?). Anyway, I agree with him that it has poor offensive qualities, which it does, but he says you can't teleport with it from combat. I've never actually needed to teleport from a tense situation, mainly because I don't pk on my main, and if I do, its only with mithril, which I make myself. I can just protect my scim, so I don't bother teleing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My question is, can you teleport from combat with a Skull Sceptre?

You would have to un-wield it before you could "invoke" it. So you can tele from combat, just not while wielding it.

Yes. I have used it before to teleport from combat and can confirm it. Just keep in mind, it doesn't work past lvl 20 Wilderness like all other teleportation items.

Actually, you can now teleport with it wielded if you wish. Just use the Operate function on the Equip Interface.

Yah, i knew about the past 20 wild bit, though I personally think it should work more like jewlery , but that it can be operated from combat is a good thing to know.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And a big thanks to jagex for operate. I can use my Skull Sceptre and my rubber chicken while weilding them. Yay!

Many of the other teleport items will not reliably teleport you from combat - any item with a choice of destinations has a dialogue which can be interrupted - a bit like trying to talk to a random while in combat.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The home port spell is also unusable in combat, and slow enough that you can be attacked while using it, though it does work up to level 20 wilderness (when I actually got some peace to test it!).
