Black dragons vs. blue dragons

Which is better to waste the 4 bows on, blue or blacks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Blues (taverly dungeon) are a long walk from bank.

 

 

 

-Blacks in evil chickens lair have no competition and are way closer to bank (lumby).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blacks sound good eh? But what about how hard it is to kill them?

 

 

 

When I killed one for recipe for disaster, i used melee with like 70 attack and 80 str and it still took like 10 mintues to kill 1. But maybe its alot easier with range, but i dont know, thats why im asking.

At 70 ranged, definately stick with blue, blacks are not goin to get u anywhere near as much money as blue drags at ur lv.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Use the blue drags at the Ogre Enclave, after you do watchtower quest, ALOT less crowded..

as far as i know you need pots and shield to fight blacks they are similar to metal drags as they breath at you for like 40! someone correct me if i am wrong please :)

I'll do the correcting, Black dragons do not possess ranged Fire Breath (at least until before the graphical update) and i have used Crystal bows against them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The only dragons that possess ranged breath are KBD and Metal dragons. The former is rather hard to solo, the second is very defensive against ranged, making it impratical.

At 70 ranged, you don't stand a chance to make any kind a decent money from black dragons. I just tried some myself and at 87 range, crystal bow, a range pot and prayer, i still only hit about 1/2 to 2/3 of the time. I use the same conditions for blue drags and hit nearly every time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I suggest you do some questing and finish the watchtower quest. Then use the ogre enclave to kill blue dragons. Much faster than taverly dungeon and better money than black drags.

Yea i checked for safespots at blacks drags before i posted this and first thing he hit me with a 40 with fire breath. But i didnt have items so it didnt really matter if i died. And i can confirm they cant hit u unless ur in meleeing distance of them (1 square away).

Don't forget Elvarg the dragon he also has ranged fire! :-w
