Does jagex step up the randoms for potential autoers?

I was wondering if Jagex stepped up the rate of random events for people who were doing repetitive things (ie. drop mining iron). It seems like it, because I had been training combat for three days, and gotten one old man random. Then I went mining, and got 4 randoms in under a half hour.

I am pretty sure they do, i also think that, if you do not talk, or reply.....u have an increased chance of a random

Maybe they should make randoms less painful. I died when scimming these forums. Why does jagex want us to stare at a tree or a rock for hours? So unfair and I think that will make me lose my sanity. -.-

I think its possible i was recently woodcutting willows on my skiller which is only 13 combat and i got like 5 old men in like 45 minutes.I also think you get them more when you for example are reading forums so your character is standing doing nothing then you come back after a minute or so and cut or mine or something.

I find that if I do things in a particular order over and over again i get more randoms. For instance if I cut only 1 willow tree. Wait for it to respawn. Then cut it again till my inv is full then go to the same bank spot every time and repeat that I get more randoms. (3 genies and 4 MOM in about 30 minutes.)

I still think that it's totally random. Maybe doing something repeat and repeat will have more randoms.
