Try it as a .jpg. Pixels can be saved as .pngs because they use so few colors but the sigs with renders need to be .jpg's or .gif's

I'll let you off the hook this time ;) I actually use GIMP. When I choose the option to save as a .jpg it pulls up a box to set the quality.
