Hunting and Xp

I' am just wondering if attacking the bush with a noose wand to catch whatever, will give combat xp. Because i do not want to level in defence.

I dont think you get combat exp for the hunting without you actually damage something. I could be wrong though.

there are no damage dealt in hunting. At best its something damaging you (the ones you pitfall trap to catch). No need to worry
