Fadfdfd
Welcome to the exciting world of World Championship Chess! :) Myself, I enjoy a nice game of chess versus my friends or family. This is a computer versus the World Champion  . The first match ended in a draw. After 1 game, The score is 1-1. Here's the link for more action. Link --> Clicky : I'll post the link for every match. Matches are every other day, so today was an off-day, now tomorrow it's back to work for Match 2 out of 6. Of course, I'm sure Vladimir Kramnik was "cramming" every possible move and practicing today for his big Game 2 Match tomorrow. Any thoughts on this, and how bad you'd get creamed by these two "things" \ ?

Fadfdfd
Ultimately computers will always win. The Catalan opening is interesting, anyone know more about it? I think computers will win every series you can find. I think for this Vladimir Kramnik, it's more of fending the computer off for draws. :P And tying the 6 game series, 6-6 :P. I would for sure. Oh and by the way, did the off topic events team end up having that poker tournament people were going on about, because I wanted to be involved in that too.

Once I asked a Moderator if I could organize some kind of poker tournament, but I was told it wouldn't be allowed. Kiriyama
To all those saying computers will ultimately win: Computers are only as smart as the programmer and they can't improve. The guy can learn the computers tatics and win. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
runemetsa
To all those saying computers will ultimately win: Computers are only as smart as the programmer and they can't improve. The guy can learn the computers tatics and win. That's not true. Programmers might not have any chess skills at all, all they do is that they program a logic program that can make it's own choices and refine that program to work, for example, with chess. Like, computer programmers cannot make 2,5 million arithmetical operations per second even if their programs can. Fadfdfd
Match Number 3! It ended after 44 moves and went as a Draw. DF is still up 3-2 after 3 matches. Link to Summary So, with three matches left (next one 12/1/06), who do you think will pull it out? DF needs a win and a tie to clinch it! A win next match will leave a Kramnik needing 2 straight wins to come back and tie.
Fadfdfd
I was scoring wrong. And today's match was once again, a draw :P Deep Fritz is up 2.5 - 1.5 Link With 2 matches left, Deep Fritz, with a draw on Sunday, can clinch at least a tie. With a win, he can clinch the series. :P
