I was just wondering, I've lately fished a little over 3k monkfish and did "Family Crest" quest for the steel gauntlets which I got enchanted into cooking gauntlets.

 

 

 

I was going to cook my monkfish when I thought:

 

 

 

"Didn't Caleb say that it will help me cook more 'Seafood' ?"

 

 

 

Yet he only says "Tuna, lobsters, swordfish and sharks"

 

 

 

I was wondering if it increases your chance of cooking monkfish more often.

high levels cookers say you burn almost zero monks with gauntlets and over 90 cooking, but the debate continues.

JaGEx says it doesn't but like Malhavok said, many high level cookers disagree and believe it helps

Just wear them when you are cooking monkfish. There is no disadvantage to wearing them while cooking.
