December 2, 200619 yr Now, most of us hate the bots and macros out there. Personally, I think a random event "questionair" might solve the problem. Basically, your entire RS screen area is covered by a question. You have to answer the question correctly. If you answer it correctly, you get some free items (gems, coins, kebab, ect). If you answer it incorrectly, you get teleported. The questions: They are supposed to be simple, so anyone can answer them without even thinking. ie: "What is the color of this square? A) Red B) Green C) Blue" "What is this? A) Pickaxe B) Tinderbox C) Pot" "How many sides does this figure have? A) 3 B) 4 C) 5" The answers will be in different places, and the exact color of the text/figures will change, to throw off macroers/bots. And with a sufficient number of questions, macroer codes will have to lengthen to accommodate all the possible question/answer sets, making macroer downloading slower. Then, if Jagex changes the questions now and then, we might be rid of macroers forever, because the macroer code would have to be updated and few people will know how to do that. I think this might get rid of 95% of macroers and seriously annoy the last 5%. Thank the world for spell checkers.
December 2, 200619 yr ya but the qustioneir will only get them 5 present of the time and the person owns the account will just go back to the place Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.
December 2, 200619 yr i'm confused on this random event would be different than all the others that seem to do the same thing... :-k Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
December 2, 200619 yr This wouldn't work. With deob bots, they read the packets sent from the server and know what the question is. Colour clickers could do it to. EG: look for the word colour, when the random occurs and it see's colour, (if the question is in syntax or changes colour, than an OCR could be used) the mouse then goes to where the picture is, notes the colour and clicks the right answer. Don't be afraid your life will end, be afraid it will never begin.
December 2, 200619 yr Niles, Miles, and Giles ask the question "What is this" The coloured box wouldn't work because some players are colour-blind. The n-sided shape question sounds mysteriously like a mysterious man random. And that's the thing... this is just another random to take up space among randoms that don't really do their job and serve to annoy honest players. One of the posts above me does a great job of explaining the technical faults, too. Even if someone had to type in the answers, an OCR could easily bypass the random and continue to macro. The Self-Proclaimed Pirate King!
December 3, 200619 yr most people underestimate what a good programmer can do. It is a whole lot easier to take a code anzally it than make a new one to exploit it. I don't think jagax should do anything about making new randoms. They should make the bot dection better, and perm ban the ip address of a bot.
