Faux
I haven't really played much on this computer. But when I play CS or FEAR Combat or WarRock, they crash a lot. For example, in CS, I can load up steam and get to a server and get in the game. But when I try to press '`' or 'b' it closes and brings me back to steam. Anesthesia
What sort of crash? Silently exiting to desktop? Any error message? You say it brings you back to steam, does that mean the game's process terminates? Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be. mikercool
1 second, let me test to see is Steam runs in the backround or turns into Half-Life... *Edit* D*nmit, they updated it! I am on 28.8kbps Dial-Up... These 1000 Hour-Long Downloads make me mad! "Don't know who I am... I know I'm not a hero, well, I hope that I'm not damned. I'm just a man, and killers, angels, all are these."
Anesthesia
The steam process continues to run whilst the hl2 process is running. They are 2 separate processes. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
mikercool
I guess "~" and "B" could be Hot-Keys in Window-Media?
Faux
What sort of crash? Silently exiting to desktop? Any error message? You say it brings you back to steam, does that mean the game's process terminates? They differ. When I alt tab, it closes silently. When I'm playing and I click some buttons, it gives me a message. I'll try to get some screenshots. Have they ever worked on this PC? It is a Laptop with media? Some games work fine. I finished Halo campaign with no problem. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

mikercool
FloatingPoint, New Graphic Driver... *Edit* 50% that will fix it, 49% something else will & 1% you are in need of a new Computer...
Faux
I'm downloading the driver right now. I just got this laptop last month. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Kinslayer777
Ouch :'( Slow internet makes it all the harder. If you have a wireless card try and find out where your local starbucks is. Or barnes and noble. (or give me zip code i'll give you info since you've got slow connection). They often have fast wireless free there.
Faux
Thanks dude, but I switched ISP when I got the laptop :) I downloaded the driver at around 400 kbps. Though I do have another problem :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

Diminished2b
GeForce 7 Go! Series have their own set of drivers. Miscalculated floating points could either point to your processor or video card. They may be overheating, etc, or it may just be bad drivers, but don't keep your hopes up.
