Suggestion (New Market View)

In the market forums, it would be more convenient on the server load and on the forum users I think if there were two columns, one side for selling, and the other for buying(or even different links altogether) this way people not interested in buying don't have to scan past all the "selling, selling selling", and those not interested in selling don't need to look through all the "buy buy buy". I know this may be difficult since this is a common setup that I have seen used on several different forum sites. But I do think if it could be changed, there would be a multitude of very happy buy/sellers. Myself included!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Open to comments, both for and against this idea.

i agree, i think it would allow those buyers/sellers to sell/buy their matierials much fasterm progressing into a rate where people would rather use tip it forums, then using the worlds 1-2-3-6-9.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It may take sometime though, maybe by deleting all topics on buying and selling, if they're major huge topics such as stores, made long time ago and still receive some attention, they get manually moved to the buying/selling areas.

Another thought (I'll try not to get too carried away) was something I heard referred to as the exchange. That players could post their wares but have an added pricetag, and if there happend to be two items that lined up for a perfect deal, that it would be automatic. The Downside is that if a player had a rare, he could add that to the tag and probably use the exchange for account trading, this system would certainly need more thought then what I've heard on it already. I was thinking of something similar (in my mind I was calling it RuneBay) and I know for a fact that players would pay a fee (real life money, maybe 2-5 bucks) to have a permanent account on something like that. Where rs items could be transferred electronically, imagine the potential! (Obvious downside: players would not be playing RS and would instead be sitting in RuneBay).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the end, I guess there is no real easy solution, Jagex is doing a good job. Everyone is gonna wanna wish there was something to make it just a bit easier... but hey, that's life.

Anyways for your last comment, that falls into a rule brought up by jagex i think it was called real life trading, yes it would be a good idea but i don't think anyone would want to manage something like that unless it was an extreme demand?wuld you invest in something only one person is talking about while others are already talking about something else, thats more popular?the time and effort may take awhile even if it were allowed, think about it'd need to be very server firendly, especially to all countries that play rs, plus it'd need to bed payment friendly, and peopel who scam would be a big issue cause it would be more of an interface, interacting with other people, more then just languages speaking to each other.

 

 

 

Time, money, codes=nope, nope,nope, however money may be earned back if enough accounts are payed for on the Runebay, but people already pay for members, which is $5?,so adding antoher 5 may not be good, lets say 3/5 of the 144k? registered people are members, how many of those want to put aside $5 for faster trades? exactly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However back to my original thoughts about the seperation i still think its a great idea and would cause alot less confusion, it would be more flexible imo.

Yeah, I have thought about all the complications with rune-bay, I honestly don't see that one happening, however, I'm still with the idea of the 2 columns, one for buying, one for selling. I do still think it is a very feasable thing to do, not overly difficult, but with a huge difference for the market.
