I'm sure they had a landing point for him, and a bunch of people ready to help him if something goes wrong. I guess when he wasn't in the atmosphere he couldn't feel anything, could he?

Hitting water at 900kph is harder than hitting concrete at 900kph, believe it or not. Even if his parachute had failed and he DID land in water, very few of his remains would be found.

i knew he had a parachute. i was asking if as he floated down did he land in an ocean. not if it had failed would he live
