Aesahaettr
Well - I thought I'd give pixeling a go. Before the screams of horror start, I don't think this is one of the most terrible first pixels. Usually, I don't like showing any of my works on anything unless I am 100% happy with it - This however, I need to know what I should be fixing etc, because I'm new to this. I tried to shade her, it's not the most obvious of shading, but the attempt is there. Her dress is supposed to be "poofy" towards the bottom, though I'm not sure if that turned out right. I still have the PS file, so if anyone makes any suggestions as to how I can change her and improve her, I can edit it. I might try and make a background for this, though I'm not sure. Thanks O:)

Nazgul740
I did a super quick edit to her... (hope you don't mind) I used more pinkish colors for skin.. Dropped in bewbs and a bit of shadow (left out highlight) Gave the skin darker shadeing... (and replaced alot of yours) Changed the hair a bit... Overall I think mine looks flameing crappy... I was just trying to show some of the quick things that needed ot be worked on New sigzor^^
Aesahaettr
The pink lines, were supposed to be the border of the dress. :-k Maybe that didn't work out so well - lol Now that I look at the skin color your chose Nazgul, looks much better. I'll try and work on that. Okay, I might sound really nooby asking this (I hate sounding nooby  ) But: Everyone talks about linework and such, but no one every really shows the tool used to make it. On PS I know there is a linetool, but is that really the tool everyone is talking about? I don't see how you'd make curves etc with that.. Plus, I've actually attempted to make even a simple figure with that, and the lines don't connect :-s

Its hard to get straight lines when you first start, but eventually drawing with a mouse becomes second nature... New sigzor^^
dark_shadow
i use the line tool (the 6th tool down on the left collumn of the toolbar in ms paint) and just do lots and lots of short little straight lines to produce my linework. i do curves, everything with this tool, keeps the linework neat, 1px thick, and its faster than doing it dot by dot. call me a cheater pixeller by doing this, but its not. all its doing is making use of ms paints features (which.. it kinda lacks  ) Featuring in my sig: TURT, ma pet turdle! Thanks to- Runemetsa and Aijiru for two of the great sigs!Avatar made by me
Aesahaettr
Yeah? So people really do use it then. That amazes me - I was having a hard time connecting even short lines, so it ended up looking worse rather than neater :anxious: Working on another peice right now.. Hopefully it will have improved a tiny bit Thanks for the comments
MD666
Best way to get better is practice practice practice. Three times. Good luck :)
