Problem With Forum Server???

Featured Replies

Hello Tip.It Admins and Mods...

Just a few minutes before this post, I was calling up the Tip.It Forum Index, and I got this weird message that read, "This board has no forums." ... On reloading the page, things started acting normal again, but I have to wonder what is going on... :? ...Any idea what happened???

It's a small forum glitch. I believe there was a topic about it a while ago but I can't seem to find it.

Offline and unavailable.

I wonder why people post about stuff like this each and every time it happens, i mean, even if there was a problem with the server/software, and the users were entitled to know about it, i'm sure that the admins would post explaining it all... If the forum is back to normal after a few minutes and/or a few reloads, then 99% of the time it's just a simple bug which there is no reason for other than the phpbb software and/or the forum server had a little hiccup... ;)

This has happened before? First Time that I have seen this particular bug on any PhpBB forum. I wouldn't have posted otherwise. :?

(BTW, I'm not trying to be rude or take anyone's head off. I'm just trying to learn what happened and why so if it happens again, I and those who read this thread won't be so bothered by it happening. I hope you understand? :-s ...)

ay, sorry then... It's a common error on phpbb boards in the version 2 series, happens most of the time when the sql database returns either an error in the query due to hiccups, or the max execution time for the query is reached due to a lockup somewhere. Normally a simple F5 solves it :)
