Umm.... my computer just quit doing sound effects, although it continues to play music, does anybody know what this could be?

music set on "on", sound effects set on "off"?

Don't think someone would be that stupid... I had some problems with my music but the sounds effect worked... That's because I messed with the midi's and copied them to my hard drive and stuff, So one day when I listened to one of those songs... The whole thing like fixed and started to work again o_O

the problem is on my whole computer, not just runescape. i can play pinball; i get the cheesy music, but not the sound of the flippers or the ball. I have already gone to the sound panel and made sure nothing is muted. I was messing with windows media player a few days ago... could that possibly affect anything?

Your sound card maybe is [developmentally delayed]ed...

One tip, get the windows restore disks. One of them has the sound software on it. My computer's sound files once got deleted entirely, so I used that.

 

 

 

My friend's pc once started echoing on all the voices. Not really music or anything, but every freaking voice tehre was. Really annoying.

try deleting your cookies and reloading runescape, i had a similar problem just that it was reverse for me (had background sounds, but not music)
