dark_ice
My computer is getting pretty old, so it is time to get a new one! I have everything customized how i want, the only question I have is which processor I should get. The first one (and cheaper) is the Pentium̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâî D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.80GHz, 800FSB) Next (and costing $90 more) is the Intel̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâî Core̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¾Ãââ2 Duo Processor E6300 (1.86GHz, 1066 FSB) I'm not sure which is better, but the only real game I play is World of Warcraft. The minimum req. for it is a Pentium IV 1.5 GHz. So which processor should I get? If the cheaper one will run the game just as good as the other then I'd like to save the $90! :P Thanks in advance! Cha0s360
the e6300 is the better one... but! have you tryed newegg.com if so.. get the pentium d 915..its a 65nm process which will consume lesspower and make less heat ;) but the 820 is good enough for WoW

dark_ice
Anyone else got advice?
blade995
If your on a tight budget, go with the Pentium D915. If you want something that will be future proof that is lightning fast, go with the Core 2 Duo. Although you could get the Pentium D820 that will run it fine, or even the D805. You have to make sure your motherboard can support the new processor too. Check your computer website and search for the motherboard specs. Mr_Putter
No, if by any chance you could possibly stretch your budget that extra 90 bucks, uou have to do it. Pentium D's eat up power and run super hot, and C2D's are far!!! better processors. Pent D's are essential garbage if you can have any chance of getting that e6300. Nadril
Agreed with putter. I'd go for the Core 2 Duo personaly, mostly because the older intel models aren't as good or as cheep as the AMD models. Core 2 Duo rises above all the rest though ;p.
