December 29, 200619 yr Now before i start, this topic is directed at Aussies, specifically those who I have been discussing the cricket with in the other topic. So if you dont know what im on about, please dont post. :notalk: No doubt you would have seen ads on TV about the XXXX Gold Beach Cricket lately. I've checked on the site and it says it dosent have info on the events until the first one on the Gold Coast (which i plan on going to). I was wondering if any fo you knew details such as tickets (prices? I think it's free, not sure), where to get them and the time of the event. Any help would be greatly appreciated. \
December 29, 200619 yr Haven't looked into it much actually. Never really considered going to see any of the matches. Although it should prove to be good cricket.
December 29, 200619 yr Author Although it should prove to be good cricket. And a good excuse to go down the coast and drink beer (kinda like schoolies). :D :
December 29, 200619 yr Hahah, so true. Now - I better find out when its on and whether or not I can get those days off work :ohnoes:
December 29, 200619 yr Haha made me laugh warri0r45 and Darkrick. I've been wondering about this as I've seen the ads a gazillion amount of times throughout the ashes broadcast. Is it just a bunch of oldies (like the former greats) playing beachcricket or is it actually current players)? :? I might look up the website now and check it out. Please be coming to Sydney. Edit: Ah good its coming to Sydney. Edit: Yeah I just looked up the details then. It's passed greats. And Mark Waugh is playing! I'm so going to go and watch it when it comes to Sydney! :D
December 29, 200619 yr Past greats in a Tri Nations. Rego at the official site is "down" atm though :-? Someone goofed their rego form types in the database or something.
December 29, 200619 yr Oh and even better! I read that Channel Ten (Yeah Channel Ten > Not Nine :o ) is telecasting the event. TEN's broadcast will include highlights as well as significant amounts of live action. Further details such as telecast times, commentators and broadcast innovations will follow... Cool so I'll be able to watch the game over in QLD and WA.
December 29, 200619 yr Shame on you Aussies. I expected something better with a quadro X in front of the title :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
December 30, 200619 yr So TEN is broadcasting it? It should be awesome anyway, but who would host it? Mike Goldman? Rove? Gretel? ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!

Gretel? good question, well whoever does, they wont have the same touch as Richie Benaud and the gang. No where near the Channel 9 commentary team. And whoever does host it, will probably cut half way through the game to advertise The Biggest Loser or something ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
December 30, 200619 yr I'd put money on them using the guys who go the motor sports. Not the best - for cricket, but still know how to do decent comentary - they should use them anyways.
