New Player-made guides sticky

Featured Replies

I saw this on my clan site, and decided we should have it here too.

Simply, a thread where people can request guides to be written by other players. People can look at the thread, decide if they want to write a guide on any of the subjects, and if so write it and post it. I mean, we have over a dozen barrows guides and no herblore raising guides. With this thread, people can see what kind of guides people want.

What do you think?

Possibly in the "General Help and Advice" board? I could actually see this having an impact on spam on the boards so people don't make whole topics for just one question.

I think it could be helpful, but there is the "Archive of Wisdom" now, too.

This isn't just for one person. It'd be for when people notice the lack of an adequate (sp) guide on a subject.

Others have brought this up before, and now that we have the Player Made Guides forum, we do have the ideal place for it to happen.

We will go ahead and make a sticky on the PMG forum. It will be on a trial basis so we can see how it goes. The guides solicited however will *only* be for that forum - no guarantees of going into the AOW nor on the website.

Try it out and we'll see how it goes!

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
