Frzphnx
I am a newbie at runescape, but I really want to learn. This is a rather long list of questions, so please bear with me. I'll try to avoid all the blatantly obvious questions that are easily answered by sites like runetips. About me: I have one character who I use as my main, that I am trying to build up. I am F2P only, so please take that into account. Character: Combat Lv: 17, Hp 16, Attack 1, Def 1, Magic 28, Range 2, Prayer 1, All other skills: 5 or less Usual Equiptment: Wizard Hat, Mage Robe, Leather boots, Leather Gloves, Leather Chaps, Air Staff, Diamond Amulet, Anti-Dragon Shield, Cape Usual Source of Income: Air Running Questions: 1) I want to be able to effectively Pk, but every time I try I get backstabbed or just plain owned. Is there something wrong with my set up? 2) Is pure mage good at all in ftp? Or should I hybrid range? I ask because there are so many limitations to f2p mages. If I start raising range, won't that raise my hp to high to be a good hybrid? 3) Is there any way to get a steady supply of law runes without being extraordinarily wealthy or being a member and running them in world 66? 4) To merchant successfully, how much money should one have? I have only about 120k. Any other general advice, especially concerning build, money making, and pk tactics especially welcome Thanks for your time
Goldenjkered
1) Try going into single combat areas or when you go into multi combat ares go with a team. 2) Yes, mages are good, partically at lower lvls as they can hit more over warriors and rangers. 3) You could kill monsters that drop lots of laws, but otherwise you would have to buy them. 4) You need at least about 200k, then I would merchant coal and iron. Hope that helped! Whips: 3 Dragon Boots: 15 My 99's: Attack & Cooking Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Goldenjkered
Frzphnx
Thanks for the advice. Since this is my main, I want to eventually get up to higher levels. Will I be forced to hybrid just to survive?
Captainkidd
Ok, your saying you want to be a pker who has a good amount of money right? Well, to do this you need to be a hybird. you want: - 40 attack Not any higher - 40 str Get this as high as you can - 1 def DO NOT GET THIS TO 2+ - 40 range You can get this higher - 40 magic TRy to get to 59 then stop train it and just use for player killing - 1 Prayer Do not bury bones prayer messes up pkers You want to wear this: - Bue mages top and hat - Green d'hide chaps and vambs - Power ammy - Some color cape Yellow/golds cool - Some boots The colorful boots from the strong hold are cool - Rune scimmy (If pking with str - Staff with anti dragon shield (If pking with mage) - willow bow with addy arrows (If pking with range) Money: You say you got 120k right now, thats good but I know how hard air running is. WHy not do a better skill to make money. Woodcutting is the best. Cut normal trees and drop there logs until you get 15 woodcutting, cut oaks and drop your logs until you get 30 woodcutting. Go to drayor and cut willows BANK your willows until you get 60 woodcutting. You will have around 4k willows banked once you got to 60 woodcutting. Sell these willows 30 EACH and no less. Getting you 120k and be-able to cut yews (250 each yew log). Pking tipsDon't make teams with people cause they will just lead you deeper into the wildy where they can kill you. Mage is good aggust str pures, sr is good agnist rangers, rangers are good aganist mages.
123neopet
1.Pking in F2p generally doesn't work too well period 2. I wouldn't know 3. Slaughter lots of *insert creature here that drops them* or get a friend to run them for you. Other than that, no 4. No clue, I don't merchant P2P forever!... Or at least 'til <insert excuse here> happens98% of people have signatures with made up statistics in them. If you're one of the 2% that doesn't, copy this and add it to your signature.
