Somethings, like images can be viewed when in zipped form, but i'm not sure about videos so you're probably just best extracting it and opening it from the new file. You have to "extract" the archive to a folder on your system for the video to be usable. When you open WinRAR there should be an "Extract to" button at the top. After 40 days, winrar pops up a window telling you to buy it every time you start it. 7-Zip is free and open source, and can open .zip and .rar files, as well as many others.
