andufusthebronze
why do you guys write about what you write about? I personally try to include a fire in my books as much as possible. Its a sign of respect to my deceased grand father, a fireman.
issy2
Wow that is an interesting question. Right now I'm working on quite a few things, I am usually inspired by books, music, or a certain thing I want to write about. For instance the smallest thing like a child smiling or a plastic bag blowing about can be a whole poem of its own. 1000 Miles From Home - inspired by Michelle Magorian, one of the world's best and most underrated authors A story... - inspired by YOU! which in turn was inspired by me, I think. Oh too complicated Several poems, one of them is based on the chorus of 'Every Smile For Me' a poem I wrote... I like choose names carefully, I think that it one of the most important things ever in a story. I like to set my stories in the past and in general my poems in the modern day. I like to include something happy and something sad. Often I include trees... there's something very special to me about trees. I also like to include smiles as much as possible... yeah smiles and trees. (Rock on smiles and trees. We love you!)
andufusthebronze
A name is something that needs to be chosen carefully, because it has a huge impact on the whole atmosphere of any piece of writing.

LeeLee
Alot of the time I write about the stuff i write about to make a point. Other than that i mostly write for pleasure :D . I always try to make the stuff I write about enjoyable. Just lately I've been really obsessed with journalism, but now i feel like writing something creative again . I find colours and specific elements of the world around me very inspirational as far as poems are concerned. Like issy i like writing stories in the past and i make my stories very descriptive. Something that particularly inspires me are concepts (seasons, ceremonies etc etc).

LeeLee
I find colours and specific elements of the world around me very inspirational as far as poems are concerned. Like issy i like writing stories in the past and i make my stories very descriptive. Something that particularly inspires me are concepts (seasons, ceremonies etc etc). Can we all provide a small peace of writing to go with our answer? cool. Here goes. I made it up in the spur of the moment so it might not be very good. Its a short poem on belief. within the absesses of a sturdy body of notion an echo was heard this echo bounced on and off the walls of the cavernous absess completely changing its obstinate, exagerrated form this echo was known as doubt then as if in awnser to this echo there came another sound this sound was coming from a trickle of water it erroded at the walls of the absess until a more truthful structure emerged from the walls this trickle of water was known as honesty then another reply came this time it was the bell like tone of belief and as this tone rang out the unfathomable notion was gone for it no longer existed now that the truth was unveiled and believed Its a kind of wierd prose poem. I just sort of had the idea for it, because i've just been to see this video installation at a gallery. It was very moody. I think it touched on a buried nerve in my mind and i wanted to write more before i lost it. Its not the usual thing i would write though so maybe i should do another. Tell me what you think. :D :D
archimage_a
I write because...I like to I like to write because...I have something to say I have something to say because...People don't understand People don't understand because...People are busy People are busy because...They are caught in a system They are caught in a system because....They don't understand They don't understand because...They dond read They don't read because...They do not know They do not know because...I haven't told them I haven't told them because...I don't want to tell people I don't like to tell people because...They can read They can read because...I have written. Ok then that out of the way. I write because there are many different things to be explored, still. I recently was told that everything had already been written about. No it hasn't no one has ever written a book on my thoughts. No one has ever written a book on a battle of the souls of people, in everyday worlds, the way that you look at people sometimes and you dont like them, because your soul and their soul are in some twisted game in which niether can win. No one has written a book about the sun going supernova and everyone on earth dying and how the world is regenerated by the intestinal bacteria that exists inside us, and how they eventually grow up and become senetient and don't need the light from the sun because jupiter collides with the new sun and it ignites into a cataclysm of energy and the energy collectors that we left behind have fed the energy into a station on the moon that generates a sun like energy down towards us. People don't write about that, not because it would be incredibly difficult to write. But because they don't have time, they don't have time because of the system we are in, because they don't understand it. We live our lives with a single goal, make money. We do other things to get there but thats it. We don't go and share what we have, we don't live in a system that we can do that...Capitalism is based to keep us working. Because of that...we will never advance under capitalism. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts. KCHughes
Because of that...we will never advance under capitalism. Communism isn't much better, my friend. the russians are the best! Hands down!
archimage_a
In theory it is... Still the driving force behind us needs to be more knowladge based... at the moment we don't do anything... pollution is caused because people don't want to spend money on doing things properly. Peoples lives are harder because they don't have money, arn't willing to spend money or because they want more money. Money causes all of the problems. Without money (And supposing people worked, or the work was done somehow anyway) people are happy. Capitalism works when you are at the top of the pile. At the bottom it is worse, much worse... Communism always works, because everyone takes an equal share. Use Runescape as an example: I want to get some Granite legs. I can't because I have only 108k... Rune legs/skirts are about 60k. I would therefore assume that since the benefit was marginal that they would be worth only slightly more...However because of the capitalist system I can't get wan I need to advance. In simpler language people want because they want. They have been taught that they have to want something. Under the perfect system people have what they need, they want what they need and thats it. Communism didn't work because Russia was far to poor when compared to the USA. If they were on level pegging(And not in an arms race) then communism works much better. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts. archimage_a
If I let being a poor author stop me then I would never have written anything. You can never convey what you want because there is no way to, the vocabulary can never be expanded enough to include everything you would ever want to say because there is no way to say it. E.G. Describe green. You can't, you can say what you think about it but you can't describe it. Writing a poem or a story is the same, either you try to give as much information relating to it as possible, like me. Or you just write, hopeing people will understand what you are trying to say. By the way not being happy really isn't uncommon. I know many tens, probably hundreds, of people who arn't. The thing is that you shouldn't care. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
