Guest Cosinus
So, I'm making this post on behalf of a friend. He wants to play Runescape, but there's some odd problem on his computer that I thought you guys and gals might be able to help us out with. Anyway, the problem seems to be that Java ain't loading correctly. We tried to switch the Java type at the World interface but that doesn't help, we've also tried with uninstalling Java and forcing a reinstall at the Runescape loading. We've also tried many kinds of webprograms (for example Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Netscape) but none of them have helped us to solve the problem. For a while we suspected that the problem had something to do with the Windows Security, so we turned off all security and tried to load the game again, still not working.. But my friend discovered something odd a few weeks ago, he can play Runescape if he opens the Taskmaster through CTRL+ALT+Delete and changes the memory priority on Internet Explorer to very High. But then he can't do anything except controlling the Runescape Window. We also discovered that if you restart his computer and load Runescape immdiately, you can play for about 5 minutes and then everything crashes. Anyone have ANY idea on how to fix this? I ran out of ideas a few weeks ago.. Your sincercly, Cosinus Update: Tried with installing older versions of Java (1.4.0 and 1.5.0), didn't work. We've also tried the Technical FAQ, but none of their suggestions and tips solved the problem. Update #2: Soon we'll be formating his PC, hopefully such a system reset will fix the problem. I'll be back with more info.

JoeDaStudd
First virus and ad/spyware scan, this will speed the pc up if you find any. Run CCleaner and choose issues, scan then press fix, when it asks do you want a Registry back up choose yes then fix all. Do this a until there are no issues. Now go to runescape.com, choose the world, and settings, now wait till its all loaded up and play. If you cant see anything and have given the pc a few minutes to load up. Then you need to download java. Download and update it once its installed. Try again, if it still doesnt work, post here. Also can you tell us which brower he is currently using.
