Metroid
Made this for the SotW. I personally prefer v2 (with the butterfly) because it adds a sense of depth and gives a better feel of the 'Nature' theme. imo. Anyway, another fantasy/terragen sig lol.. but I think this is one of my best. v2: The text was originally going to be a "hidden watermark". But when I went to lower the opacity I noticed it looked pretty good as it was. So I left it. ;) Protect the Light...
tripsis
I agree, I like version two as well. The butterfly is really a simple addition, but it definitely adds to the nature theme. Plus, it's just cute : I really like the background in this one, I think it's fantastic. I love the colours you used and how it has a very soft, pleasant feel to it. And the way the mountain is positioned is just perfect. Great job :) - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Nadril
I love the atmosphere in this one, its great. Also -- the surface map! Very nice, do you have the origional file saved anywhere? (haha) Great job, I don't have any crits.
Metroid
I don't save surface maps. ;) And this is actually 3 different terragen renders. :) Thanks for the rate. Protect the Light...
michiel2
I go with version two as well - The butterfly seems to add a bit more colour and feeling into it. Not that that about the colour is true, but it only seems to be, which makes it better imo. Very nice. =D> At least, I think that.

Metroid
bump - I'd really like more rates on this. ;) If it helps.. this is not a manip. It's a landscape I rendered with terragen. Planet/butterfly/birds made in photoshop. Space scene made in PS aswell. Protect the Light...

WOW that just amazing and confusing when i try to think of how you did it >.< beautiful Butterfly made with the brush/selection tool. Birds made with the pencil tool. (basically a pixel, only a little easier to make) Planet started from a simple circle, added a light source overlay, then added textures to the planet, 3d/sphereize filters etc. (Try searching for a tutorial on planets.. it'll explain better. ;)) Space scene made with a gradient + noise filter at super low opacity, then some 1 pixel dots manually made. First landscape rendered in terragen, messed with the atomsphere until I liked the result, used a grass/rock texture then added a few textures of my own in photoshop. Second landscape (in the bg) is a overlay layer with my own texturing over it. And a original rock texture. Third terragen (which connects to the background terragen to the right) which is barely noticable is the exact same thing as the second terragen, only lower opacity and shaped different of course. Then finally I added a smokey look to the atmosphere. Just some smudging of the lighter areas of the terragen render, then blurred alot, and lower opacity. And some other extra stuff like apply image layers + filters. That is how I made the entire sig. Hope it helps. ;) Protect the Light...
