January 8, 200719 yr This is my first piece I have done using my tablet, that I've actually tried on. I really tried hard, at least an hour on this piece, but it still sucks! #-o The bad thing is..I can't figure out how to make the grass look like grass and the sky look like, well...sky. January 8, 200719 yr So basically you have no drawing experience and you thought tablets magically make you amazing artists? This is not spam or anything im actually really seriously wondering if thats the case , if not... Join the movement^
January 8, 200719 yr Author So basically you have no drawing experience and you thought tablets magically make you amazing artists? This is not spam or anything im actually really seriously wondering if thats the case , if not... No, you have it all wrong. I haven't had any drawing experience with my tablet. I've drawn before, tons, but not with a tablet. Does it just suck that much or did you misread what I said? :-w Thanks Bessafree, though, I'll keep that in mind. By the way, I'm using Gimp 2.2, if anyone was wondering. do u wow?Cassiius|Level 70 Night Elf Preist|RunetotemSambora|Level 37 Tauren Shaman|BurningLegion
January 8, 200719 yr the trick to digipainting is highlights. first, i recomend you use the brush tool. second, what you need to do is use a smaller brush (1-6 pixels is about right). shade everything in the way you would with a pixel (no ddither and everything, just shading), and then apply highlights and texturing. i have an old dragon from when i first digipainted (yes, suckie) that you can kinda see what i mean. ill edit this if i can find this. wop wop
January 8, 200719 yr Author I did use a brush. A small brush, too. :shame: By the way, showing me a sucky drawing won't help me improve on a sucky drawing. Showing a good drawing, with good detail and somewhat close to what I drew would help. do u wow?Cassiius|Level 70 Night Elf Preist|RunetotemSambora|Level 37 Tauren Shaman|BurningLegion
January 8, 200719 yr im prety sure thats not a brush... looks more like airbrush to me... i found the dragon, but looking back at it, and comparing my new digipaintings, it looks terrible >.< i redid the sacles neer the horn quickly so you could see what i ment about highlights. http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/8709 ... oonoo3.png click at the risk of getting the wrong impression of me as a digipainter >.< wop wop
January 8, 200719 yr Does it have to be like a signature format? ^^; You can do that with a mouse! Try wallpaper size! Tablets are made for big resolutions! :D The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak. In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.
January 9, 200719 yr Author Not a brush? And, to answer jak's question, it's being made for a friend on the forums here..So, yeah, it kinda does need to be in signature format. :| do u wow?Cassiius|Level 70 Night Elf Preist|RunetotemSambora|Level 37 Tauren Shaman|BurningLegion
