January 9, 200719 yr I really don't think so, but if I'm wrong it must be a fairly recent update. Hopefully someone else will clarify this?
January 10, 200719 yr I'll try it right now and see if I get any smithing exp :) EDIT: I got 69 exp for superheating 5 silver ores into bars, which is the experience you'd normally get for smelting them (13.5 per ore)
