Kinslayer777
Well, I have the occasional ant running around in the house. As with all insects, I don't mind them. After all, It's my fault for leaving food around, and I have no right to go squishing them or poisoning them. However, occasionally I like observing them. It's great, but they get scared much too quickly and run like crazy and I get to see little. Is there any toxin that wears off quickly that I could expose the ant too to "slow him down" Weird question, huh?
Bufoman
you could try refrigirateing them. that would make them very slow indeed. insects are cold blooded and there matabalisim is effected by there body tempeture to some extent. that said you would have too keep them in captivity and release instead of observeing them naturley in the wild. also you could try putting them in an ant farm and observe them in a dark room with a red light. ants cant see red light or it dosent bother them. indy500fan
I agree, ants are pretty awesome. We have ant problems in our house all the time. I think I am the one who causes it, because if I see a line of them on my floor going for some food, I will put down another piece just to watch them tear it apart and transport it :D
Thus
I heart ants. I used to have an ant farm and it was incredible how they worked. Have you tried luring the ants into some sort of ant farm and releasing them after you are done observing their actions??
Kinslayer777
I'm considering buying a gel ant farm. I dont know how to make my own though yet. Great idea on chilling, sounds mean, but I am their provider...;) As with the red light if I get a farm.

It's a pity that they can't just love me instead of fearing me :( I love dem!
