Luke2
What would cause a laptop to do random things, when pushing keys? For example, "q", "w", "e", "r" and "t" work fine, but "y" shuts the PC down, and "u" enters random symbols. All very strange! M = " ./" N = BEEP b = b v = v c = c x = x z = z l = l k = k j = NEW LINE, THEN "l;" h = DELETE CURRENT LINE, THEN "l'" g = g f = f s = s a = a p = p o = o u = UP A LINE, THEN "OP" AND DISABLE/ENABLE WIRELESS NETWORK y = GO TO START OF LINE, THEN " [" t = t r = r e = e w = w q = q AGV, AdAware, Norton, etc... Not found anything.
Mercifull
Check the keyboard settings. It should be set to British or American style keyboard. Cruiser
are you using sticky keys? press shft 3 times to see if you are. Better yet, go into Control Panel > Accessibility Options and make sure it's turned off there. Pressing the shift key several times isn't a sure fire way of getting the option to pop up.
