Artemis495
My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to complete a bunch of skill goals in rapidfire succession. Since I've discussed my goals in greater detail in the Goals forum, I'll be relatively brief here. This first post will be to list each goal and the supplies I currently have in order to reach it (In progress) Construction: 51/60 Supplies Oak logs: 2269 Oak Planks: 309 2-4-07: Finished High-Alching platebodies from previous goal. Plowed through construction like it was nothing, even when I had to stop and chop more Oaks Will start Fishing soon. Randoms: 2 Mysterious Old Men 1 Molly 3 Strange Plants 1 Evil Chicken 1 Rick Turpentine Fishing: 70/76 Supplies Big Net 2-4-07 Started Fishing. No levels so far (not expecting any for a while anyway). 2-6-07 Observations: Big net fishing while wearing a ring of wealth seems to yield more oysters and caskets and fewer boots and gloves. This will be ideal for making pearl bolts later on I also happened to pick up a rack of bronze bolts that someone had dropped and attached them to some opal bolt tips. I will see if it will be worth enchanting the opal bolts (if so, I'll make bolts for the rest of the opal tips and enchant them as well). Edit: Lucky Lightning (enchanted opal bolts) sounds interesting... and making more bronze bolts should take no time at all Pearl bolt tips: 203 2-14-07 I got a nice little Valentine's Day present today - a Big Bass! I'm going to take it to the taxidermist to get stuffed and put it in my POH ASAP 2-15-07 I've noticed I've been collecting quite a lot of soda ash during my big net fishing, and for a bit I was trying to decided what to make it into, and where. I've decided that once I get an opportunity I'm going to make glass vials in Zanaris. I won't need to collect any seaweed by that point, and there's a nice sand pit right near a furnace! It'll sure beat running back and forth to Entrana! I'm less than halfway through my Fishing goal, and I already have 500+ soda ash and 1100+ pearl bolt tips! This latter was greatly boosted by a fellow fisher (thx lilmommacrow!). At this rate I'll have plenty of pearl bolts (e) for Slayer! I've stopped cooking my catch for the time being, but I plan to cook my proceeds at Fishing 74. I thought I was hallucinating during my cooking, but recently I discovered that cooking the fish (or Bass at least) gives more cooking xp than catching them gives fishing xp. A curious little bit of trivia there... 2-20-07 Reached 74 Fishing over the weekend, and not long after that I reached 75 cooking I have also since caught another Big Bass, but since I already have one in my house I'm not sure what I'll do with it. It's sitting in my bank for now. Going to get another level in Agility once I finish cooking the last of my Mackerels. I also got a halfkey from a casket over the weekend, and immediately after I bought the other half from a player. Dragonstones ftw! I've also discovered that the Man that hangs around the north fishing dock drops mad herbs! 2-27-07 Reached 75 Fishing and 76 Cooking over the weekend. Taking tiny break from Fishing to make glass vials in Zanaris (only to the next Crafting level) before I finish up fishing. I'm filling the vials at fairy fountains as I go, but I won't start adding herbs until I start Herblore properly. 3-5-07 Finished my Fishing Goal this afternoon. Will cook up all the leftover fish (victims of my impatience ) and present the final tally of bolt tips, soda ash, and molten glass before finishing up my Agility (163 turns round the Barbarian Course, yay) Agility 58/60 3-7-07 Agility done! I admired the change in music during my last few turns around the Barian course, but that place is starting to lose its effectiveness in training (yeah, I'm stubborn like that). I'll try the Brimhaven Agility course for Agility 60-70. For now, though, I'm mining the 290 iron I will need to make iron bolts for all the pearl tips I have from fishing. I'm debating whether I should smelt the bars in a furnace or with superheat (failure won't be a problem either way, since I have rings of forging). I might go with superheat since it will only take 170-odd of those to reach my next magic level (Magic 70 baby!). If I do I'll make enough nats to high-alch a few things I have in my bank. Ranged: 50/60 Supplies Enchanted Pearl Bolts: 2895 Slayer: 50/60 3-9-07 Lesser Demons: I'm slaying these in the Karamja Volcano, and discovering that these are popular beasties in the evening. #-o I'm also discovered that the enchanted pearl bolts don't do a whole lot against them, so I switched to meleeing with my dlong. Reached lvl 51 last night, and making good use of the bank downstairs :) Will probably try my magic short with steel arrows against them today, to see if the problem is high ranged defense over all, or just that crossbow bolts are weak. Update: Switched out to steel arrows and mage bow on my last bank run. Took a bit of frantic sprinting to find a good safe spot, but seem to be doing better now than I did with the crossbow and pearl bolts. Meh. I really wanted to use the enchanted bolts. Oh well. Update: Finished my lessers assignment (twice was interrupted by noobs setting up dwarf cannon in the non-multi area under Karamja Volcano. My next assignment was 10 wallbeasts (easy peasy), and after that I got an assignment of 135 Trolls (Chaeldar tends to alternate between super-easy and moderately hard assignments... grumble grumble). Will start on trolls later. 3-11-07 135 Trolls: I've found that trolls tend to be very good herb and seed droppers, as well as rather easier to kill than lesser demons (duh...). I expect this assignment to not take very long :D The herbs I'm gathering will be a huge help for herblore later on, and the seeds I can use with farming : 3-12-07 Finished up the trolls, but Burthorped Chaeldar's next assignment, 168 Fire Giants, in favor of 28 dogs. No special drops, of course, from the dogs, but the easy assignment was a nice break. My next assignment is 126 Trolls (C must hate trolls!), which means mad herbs and seeds again - yay! : 3-19-07 126 Trolls: After a brief hiatus, I'm back at my Slaying. Right now I'm around 4 Trolls away from my next Slayer level =P~ , but since I'm playing this during breaks at work, I'll have to wait till later this morning to realize this :x Oh well - It'll come. Update: Got my Slayer level bringing me to 53 Slayer, and as an added bonus I also got a HP level, bringing me to 66 hitpoints and 81 combat. Soldiering on through the troll hordes (if the four just to the west of the troll combat arena can be considered a horde :XD: ) Update: This evening while slaying cockatrices I got two things: A defense level (which I wasn't expecting so soon) and a cockatrice head! You can bet that I stuffed that sucker as soon as I finished my assignment and slapped him into my skill hall! Discovery: Cockatrices seem to drop more limpwurt roots than any other monster I've encountered thus far. They also drop more seeds and herbs than even the trolls. This is good b/c if I find myself short of a few levels after I farm all my seeds or make all my pots I can just spend a couple hours with the cockatrices to gather materials. I won't worry about that till I have to, though. My next assignment was 166 Fire Giants. Off to Burthorpe... 3-20-07 Put my new Slayer trophy in my POH and chatted him up for a bit (he's upset that I deaded him) and nipped off to Burthorpe for a replacement assignment. Cave crawlers aren't too bad - I have plenty of anti poison pots to get me through. Update: Cave crawlers done (only had 46 to kill, took me all of 25 minutes). The CCs drop okay loot, mainly herbs with the odd vial of water, red spider egg, or allotment seed. I also got 5 nats from them but I don't recommend them for nat farming. Heading to Zanaris soon for my next assignment. Update: My newest assignment is 149 Infernal Mages. Off to the Slayer Tower! I equipped my green dhide, my elemental shield, and my elemental helm, and loaded up on bass and headed off with me dragon long in hand. I discovered that while my armor prevents them from hitting every time, when they do hit, it can really sting. Fortunately Canifis isn't too far away for reloading. 3-21-07 Infernal Mages are ANNOYING, almost as annoying as werewolves are. Maybe I need better magic defense. I'm not getting killed or anything, but I am going through a lot of bass. Oh well. They don't drop a whole lot of loot, either - the best thing they drop semi-regularly is death runes, but they're not a good spot if you're after deaths specifically. maybe I'll get a lava staff or something out of this... 3-26-07 161 Harpie Bug Swarms: I've fought these before, and they're about like low-level training of Al-Kharid Warriors - just stand by and let them come to you. They're aggro, but not too bad if you have the lantern. Not a lot of sognificant loot, unless you're after money - I started there with 50 coins in my inventory (leftover from the boat ride from Ardy and a quick cart trip to and from Shilo) and already from Bug drops I have a total of 1600 coins from about five minutes' slaying. Cha-ching! Update: Finished with the Harpie Bugs without having to reload on food, and raked in some decent loot - about 11k in coins, 105 chaos runes, and 10 or so death runes. The steel axes, steel helms, and staves of fire I left there so as not to clutter my bank (which is getting a bit full... :-[ ) My next assignment is Bloodvelds... should be interesting. Update: 125 Bloodvelds. The first one I killed gave me another Slayer level, lol... But I still have a bunch left so no rest for the wicked... 3-27-07 Bloodvelds are tough. I'm using about as much food here as I did when I was fighting Infernal Mages, for not a lot of good drops. The best drop I've had so far with these is a few blood runes. Meh. 3-29-07 Finished with the bloodvelds (finally). I noticed that every so often when I killed one I would hit the bone jackpot, as it dropped 3 normal bones and 3 big bones. I left the regular bones there but buried the big ones for prayer. My current assignment is 150 Trolls, but decided to take a wee break and get a couple of what I call "whatever" levels, that is, levels that I will be getting later anyway but will get now to save time/prevent myself from burning out. I got a whatever level in Herblore (now 51 Herby) with a bunch of fishing and super attack pots, and I'll craft vials in Zanaris until 62 Crafting before returning to Slayer. 4-04-07 Nearly done crafting vials. I've found that if you already have the soda ash (as I did, from big net fishing), then Zanaris is the ideal place for glassblowing, since you have a sand pit, a furnace, and a bank within a stone's throw of each other. I expect to get my 63 Crafting by this evening. Update: Back to Slayer! 4-5-07: Started on my troll assignment this morning. The trolls aren't so tough since I've gotten a few levels in my combat skills, but I'm still bringing plenty of bass with me. I'm also burying the big bones they drop for prayer xp, even though I won't kill enough trolls to level in that during this assignment. I'm glad I have plenty of games necklaces in my bank - otherwise walking from Fally to Trollheim would be a painnnn... Update: 4-6-07 Less than 100 Trolls to go in this assignment. I'm getting okay loot this time through, mainly seeds, but I did get two herbs during this run (Marrentill and Tarromin). So far cockatrices are still the reigning champion of farming/herblore drops. 4-11-07 Finished with the Trolls. My next assignment is Jellies, which live in the Slayer Dungeon. I've never encountered these before, so I'm doing a bit of research on them before I set out. 4-17-07 I was running low on steel arrows for my Range goal, so I took a brief break and fletched about 3k of those for 66 Fletch (I like working in complete levels when I can... can't always tho *sad*). Last night I started on my Jellies assignment in Slayer. They're not so tough - after consulting the Monster database I suited up in my green dhide, ele shield and mind helmet for max magic defense and as of this morning I'm down to 66 remaining of 121. Got a defense level this morning, and per the Slayer Planner I expect to get a Slayer level by the end of this assignment. 4-18-07 Nice little birthday present for me today... I finished with the jellies not soon after. My next assignment is 121 Turoths, which I saw a little further into the Slayer dungeon, just past the Jellies. Booya! Update: The Turoths aren't too bad - the little ones are about like the Jellies were. On the bright side, Turoths drop a LOT of herbs and seeds. Cockatrices are still the champion, but Turoths make a nice secondary source (as long as you remember your leaf-bladed spear)! It looks like my next level will probably be in hitpoints if things continue as they are currently. I ventured past the Turoth chamber to see what lay deeper in the Slayer Dungeon, and found that not only was I close to the end of it - but that the last chamber contained Kurasks. Maybe someday... Update: Almost done with Turoths. One of them dropped a dwarf weed seed while I was there and akaik it was my first DW seed EVAR (but then I don't know for sure how rare they are as a drop. Oh well). Tons and tons of herbs this evening. 4-20-07 153 Pyrefiends: Wow. Enchanted crossbow bolts really are useless. I tried out my pearl bolts (e) on the pyrefiends, and not even the special (which dumps a bunch of water on them) did much of anything to them. Switched back to dlong. Grrr... I had gotten a Firegiants assignment from Chaeldar after I finish the Turoths, but Burthorped it in favor of 44 Ghosts. The Pyrefiends won't get me to my next Slayer level, but they ought to get me close. *hopeful* Update: Finished with the Pyrefiends. My next assignment is Banshees, which I've wanted to try to slay for a while now. Hopefully they have some decent drops. Off to the Slayer Tower! 4-21-07 Finished with the Banshees - they were almost as easy as the Harpie Bugs were. Also, I got a nice little bonus drop from one of them - red and black Mystic gloves! W00t! My next assignment is 161 Turoths. 4-23-07 52 Turoths remaining at this point. I'd be more annoyed with them by now if they didn't drop so many herbs. Fortunately, should be close to my 59 Slayer by the time I finish up with them. Update: Sweet zombie christmas - I should really learn to be careful what I wish for! I finished with the Turoths and returned to Chaeldar hoping for Something Else because I was tired of Turoths. I got Something Else, all right - 13 Bronze Dragons! *whimper* Haven't decided yet if I will Burthorpe this one... crafting the last of my soda ash into glass vials to buy time... 4-24-07 Finished up the last of my soda ash on vials. Should have plenty for Herblore later. Also Burthorped the Bronze Dragons in favor of 20 Desert Lizards. Should be fun... Update: Got through the Desert Lizards. Next assignment: 125 Blue Dragons. *eek* Didn't feel up to Slaying Blues (can't use hides or scales, yet, and no room to store them till later) just yet, so Burthorped for 35 Wolves. Current assignment is 157 Trolls, which will get me to 59 Slayer. 4-26-07: Update: Finished with the trolls. Next assignment: 115 Hellhounds. I have an idea where I can find some (Family Crest Dungeon) but will do a bit of research before I rush headlong into this one. 4-28-07: My next assignment after the Trolls was 112 Blue Dragons, which I Burthorped (no room in bank) in favor of 45 Skeletons. After I finished with that I got 128 Desert Lizards from Chaeldar, which was a minor annoyance because misjudging the application of the Ice Cooler wasted a Cooler. Like a moron I only got enough at first to exactly finish off the lizards, so I had to pick up a few more before I was done. The irony came when I got the next assignment: Lesser Demons. Ifyou look back in my journal you will notice that my first Slayer assignment in this blog was also Lesser Demons, and as it turned out it was also the assignment that put me over the top: That's right - 60 Slaying! I'm fairly excited about this, as it means that all I need to do for this stage is finish up my Ranged goal before I start on Hunter. 4-29-07: Here I am, getting a ranged level in the Ogre pens. I was a bit diappointed that I wasn't able to train Ranged and Slayer at the same time, but it's no big deal. Once I reach 60 Ranged I might have to clean out my bank before I start Hunter. 4-30-06: Per the Tipit calculator, I have 396 more ogres to kill before 60 Ranged. Update: 5-1-07: I've found that the Ogres drop a fair number of seeds, though nothing spectacular. Additionally, while burying the Big Bones they drop, I was visited by the Leo random event twice, which allowed me to get the complete zombie set (clothing and emotes)! Picture to come. I'm at 59 Ranged right now, and at the rate I'm going I fully expect to reach 60 this evening. My only problem right now is bank space - as in, I'm nearly out of it. I might need to pause for a bit for jewelrymaking and potionmaking, and finish the Manni the Reveler segment of Fremmenik Trials, to free up some space before I start up on Hunter. Update: 60 Ranging achieved! I'll start on Hunting tomorrow. (cont'd in next post) "I reject your reality, and substitute my own!"
Artemis495
Hunter: 3/60? I really need to get this skill out of the gutter. I plan to get it to at least 30 when I get back to training it so I can get the Hunter-related quests under my belt. From 30-60 can wait till later. 5-2-07: Decided to break this up into two posts bc I was concerned that my log in the first post was getting too long. Been Hunting Crimson Swifts in the neighborhood of Feldip this morning, and the levels are coming pretty rapidly - I'm up to level 6 already! Updated: Reached level 7 and decided to try my hand at tracking Feldip Weasels. It's a lot of fun so far, but not sure at this point if I can reliably re-locate the Feldip glider to bank at the Grand Tree. Stopgap solution: Home Teleport - bank in Al Kharid - Glider to Grand Tree - Glider to Feldip. It's a bit roundabout, but saves me a few headaches in the meantime. 5-3-07: Reached level 28 this evening. The early levels always seem to come quickly enough, and I'm already set to do the Giant Eagle quest. I'll keep on till level 30 though before I go questing, to get into the highscores and not have to manually enter my Hunting xp into the calcs  5-4-07: 8 More Wagtails until level 30. I found a nice spot not too far south of the Feldip Glider and just west of the pond where I've been snaring mad birds, to the point that I probably get a full inventory of raw bird meat every fifteen minutes. Funny incident from this morning: Set up my two traps 4-5 squares away from each other and waited. A wagtail went over, sprang trap #1 without getting caught, and as I was resetting trap #1 it flew over and got caught in trap #2 :D Heeeere birdy birdy... Update: Reached 30 Hunter. Starting on Eagle's Peak while Hunter is foremost in my mind. Eagles' Peak Unlocking the Eagles' Peak transport sounds like fun, and being able to hunt rabbits and ferrets should be a nice bonus as well. Supplies: One swamp tar, yellow dye, 50 coins. Update: Quest done! Prequest Tidying up Before I start on my other quests, I need to free up some extra space in my bank. I'm going to complete all my half-finished potions and craft my gems into jewelry here. Now with my gems I have a few choices for what to make them into, but I figure I'll make the items that are the most useful. My sapphires I'll make into Gaming Necklaces, my Emeralds into Duelling rings, my Rubies into Rings of Forging, my Diamonds into Rings of Life, and my Dragonstones into Rings of Wealth (bc the only Dstone jewelry I can make right now are rings  ). 5-7-07 Currently mining gold in the Arzinian Gold Mine. This is by the far the best place I've seen to mine gold, as there's no one else there, and there's the boatman to the east to take my ores to the bank. I'll stay here until I get a mining level, and then check how many ores I have. Unfortunately, my bank is FULL right now, so might take a bit of juggling when I start making jewelry. Fortunately the sapphire necklaces won't require anything extra like amulets would. 5-8-07 Finished crafting all my sapphires into necklaces. I'll enchant them into Games Necklaces before moving on to the Emeralds, which should allow them to stack with the Games Necklaces I already have in my bank. It looks like I won't get a level until I start on the Ruby Rings, but that's no biggie. Update: Finished enchanting my Games Necklaces and started making Emerald Rings. Update: Finished my Duelling Rings (and sold one while I was in the bank enchanting them  I've gone back to the Arzinian mine to get the 100 or so gold ores I need to finish. 5-9-07 Finished crafting my Rubies, Diamonds, and Dragonstones into rings. Now I just need to enchant them all and I'll move on to finishing my half-completed potions. Update: Got the Ruby and Diamond rings enchanted with no problems, but ran into a rune shortage with the dragonstone rings, so I'll let them sit till later on when I can get a chance to craft 105 Water Runes. Working on finishing my potions now, and got the Fishing Pots out of the way. Not expecting any Herblore Levels right now, but you never know. As things currently stand I have 76 Super Attack pots till my next level. 5-11-07 Finished my Attack Potions. Now all I have left to finish are my Tarromin pots and my Harralander pots. Currently in Camelot, getting ready to harvest limp roots from Cockatrices. After that it will be off to the Varrock Sewers for Red Spider Eggs, putting me in a good position to start the What Lies Below quest once I'm done. 5-14-07 Nearly done harvesting Limpwurt roots at the Cockatrices - only 3 left to get. I ran into a minor snag though - I'd forgotten how many herbs the cockatrices dropped when you kill them, so to prevent myself getting caught in an endless cycle (and besides, I'll be getting lots more herbs from farming) I've decided to leave them there and collect only the limp roots. After this I'll make a brief stop at Falador to pick up some snape grass (picked up some Ranarr Weed at the Cockatrices and started the potions just to be tidy) and craft a few gems I got as drops in the Slayer Dungeon (Fortunately I have about a dozen gold bars leftover). From there I'll head to Varrock. 5-15-07 Finished making my Stat Restore pots. I have a few 1 and 2 dose pots of various types in my banks, but I'll worry about them later. On to the quests! Quest Break! What Lies Below DONE! For Chaos Altar shortcut. I HATE having to go through the wilderness and maybe this will be easier. Started 5-15-07 5-16-07 Finished What Lies Below. Temple of Ikov (Started) For the Boots of Lightness. Enlightened JourneyDONE! 5-16-07 (Update) Got the boots of lightness from the Temple of Ikov and started on Enlightened Journey. I need a candle, a sack of potatoes, 3 papyrus, and a ball of wool. 5-17-07 Finished Enlightened Journey. Hot Air Balloon routes Red = Not Unlocked, Green = Unlocked Crafting Guild Varrock Castle Wars Grand Tree Fremennik Trials DONE! This one has been festering for a while. 5-17-07 Finished Fremennik Trials. My new Fremmy name is Barrak. 5-18-07 Crafting Chaos runes to get rid of some spare rune ess in my bank so that I have at least SOME free space. Would have cooked my sharks but my cooking skills are not mad enough :( Ghosts Ahoy For easy ectophial tele to the Haunted Farm patch. Started 5-21-07 Finished 5-22-07 Zogre Flesh Eaters (Started) To unlock Relcym's Balm. 5-23-07 Nearly done. Going after Slash Bash this morning. Update: DONE! Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup (minigame) For access to the Mahogany trees in TBW. 5-24-07: Spent about an hour in the Jungle Cleanup game. Discovered the natives won't talk to you if you're wearing a Broodoo Mask. Cut some Mahogany logs to furnish up to my current level of Mahog furniture in my POH. Getting ready for Enakhra's Lament. Enakhra's Lament For the Camulet. 5-24-07: DONE with Enakhra! Went through my bank and deposited my Farming Equipment with the Leprechaun at the Lumby Castle Tree Patch, which means I now have a full row of free bank space. I also shuffled around a few items, like putting all my amulets (Ghostspeak and Camulet) together next to my enchanted jewelry. I could get my unblessed holy symbols blessed, too, but it's not urgent. I could also stow my buckets with the Leprechaun, but I might need them for the last few quests. My Arm's Big Adventure My Arm will give me a HUGE kickstart with my Farming and Herblore, cutting down on my overall training time with these, plus the disease-free patch it unlocks. Rum Deal This will give me some Farming Experience. Cabin Fever Access to Mos Le'Harmless Other Quests I Could Do Before Farming Animal Magnetism Cold War Death to the Dorgeshuun Devious Minds Eyes of Glouphrie Family Crest Fight Arena Fremmenik Isles Haunted Mine Hazeel Cult Horror from the Deep In Search of the Myreque Lunar Diplomacy Monkey Madness Mountain Daughter Olaf's Quest Scorpion Catcher Shades of Mort'Ton Shadow of the Storm Sheep Herder Shield of Arrav Slug Menace Soul's Bane Spirits of the Elid Swan Song Temple of Ikov Tower of Life Underground Pass Witch's House Farming: 45/66 I'll plant my seeds according to how far up the bribe chain they are. Additionally, I plan to plant all the seeds I have in my bank (A somewhat formidable amount, to be sure - pic to come when I'm about to start Farming) so there's no telling where I'll be when I'm done. I doubt I'll get up to Torstol but I'm hopeful. Level 0 No actual planting here, just collecting pineapples and buckets for supercompost. I'm told that I can buy lots of buckets in Port Phasmatys, and pineapples in Grand Tree. 6-5-07: I'm going to start gathering pineapples today. I figure that to prevent the harvest from getting too boring I'll gather the pineapples I need for Stage 1, then do the Stage 1 seeds, then gather for Stage 2, and so forth. This will not include fertilizer for bribes. Update: Found the Gnome Grocery to be a bit thin on pineapples, so harvesting them south of Brimhaven. I'll start up with a few reg compost runs to get rid of the weeds I have in my bank (bc I will need regular compost for Potato bribes anyway) and at least one supercompost run for the real stuff. Right now I can plant up to Maple trees. 6-12-07: Reached Level 46 Yesterday. Currently keeping all my produce from Farming so it's ready to use quickly for bribes. Need more buckets from Port Phasmatys. Next milestone: Watermelons 6-13-07: Reached Level 47 this morning, which means I can now plant all allotment crops! Some have called Farming a boring skill but I've found that staying in motion between all the Hops and allotment patches helps stave off the tedium. I just need to remember to refill the compost containers each time though... :anxious: Next milestone: Jangerberries 6-14-07: Just reached level 48, allowing me to plant Jangerberries! This will be useful during the later stages of my Herblore training, when I want to make Zammy pots. I'm kind of surprised at how fast I'm progressing using only low-level seeds. I wonder how fast I'll level up once I start up with the higher seeds... :D Next milestone: Avantoe 6-15-07: It looks like the first group I'll run out of will be my Guam seeds - about 12 more rounds. Once they're gone I'll go ahead and switch to Marrentill. Overall I'm pretty happy about my crops; I wasn't expecting to have 147 Guam leafs by now, let alone all the potatoes I'm collecting! I'm also surprised that since I started I've only had two random events - a Strange Plant and Cap'n hand, both while loading pineapples into the compost bin. Hmm... At this point I suspect strongly that I will level up once by the time I finish with my Guams. I wonder what level I'll have by the time I finish with my potatoes... Update: Reached Level 49. No milestones (that comes at lvl 50) but I'm making good progress. 6-18-07: Took a wee break over the weekend but I'm back on it now. I have about 3k xp till level 50, and so far I'm really happy with how quickly this is going. Less than 30 guam seeds till marrentill. The only question is what to do with the ~300 Guam leafs I'll have by that point... Update: I expect to level up within the next two rounds - less than 1k xp to go till Avantoes! Update: 50 Farming! Avantoes acquired! Next Milestone: Pineapples! 6-19-07: When I finish up with the Guam seeds I will add another leg to my overall crop run: a stop in Karamja for Pineapples. I figure this way I won't need to stop actually growing crops to keep on top of my Supercomposting. 6-20-07: 51 Farming and growing Pineapples achieved! Next milestone: Bittercap Mushrooms  My first special ^_^ Update: I finished off the last of my Guam seeds this evening and started on my Marrentills. I'm running low on Water and Earth runes for teleports, so I'll need to craft some more during this next lap. Other than that things are progressing smoothly. 6-28-07: Was sick earlier this week, so Farming fell by the wayside briefly, but got back on top of it today and reached 53 Farming! My first Special crop! 6-29-07: Harvested my first crop of Mushrooms today. The bribe for Whiteberry bushes is 8 Mushrooms, so once I get up to level 59 I'll be all set. Using the Supercompost-and-pray method for the Mushrooms, the same method I use for my herbs  7-2-07: Reached 54 Farming tonight! I'm surprised at how fast I'm progressing using lower-level seeds, but I imagine the Bittercaps help a lot as far as that goes. Next projected milestone: Cactus 7-5-07: Finished with my Marrentill seeds and starting on Tarromin. So far I've only had one crop of Mushrooms die on me, so I'm eager to see how I do with Cacti next level, in about 6k xp... 7-6-07: 55 Farming! I got the level at the Hops Patch on Entrana, as a result of adding s-comp to the patch, lol. I'll start on the Cacti this round. Next projected milestone: Kwuarm Update: Planted my Cactus. The guide says they take a bit over 9 hours to grow, about twice as long as the Mushrooms. Patience is a virtue... 7-12-07: Reached 56 Farming last night, unlocking Kwuarm - which means I can now grow herbs that I can't yet use, lol. I still have piles of potato seeds left though... I think I'll keep using them until I finish with my barley seeds (less than 100 of those left) and then see how many I have left. If I'm really sick of potatoes by then I might just sell the rest and then start on Onions. I'm nearly out of Mushroom spores now (3 of those left) and I only have a handful each of marigold seeds and tarromin seeds remaining. Next milestone: Papaya tree 7-13-07: I will be so glad when I no longer have to buy compost bribes... I imagine buying compost buckets from the farming shops have eaten up quite a bit of my funds so far. Supercompost costs me nothing except a trip to Karamja once a cycle, so once I finish my potatoes and barley I'll be able to save some cash from there on out. 7-14-07: Used up the last of my Mushroom spores today. Also getting close to using up my Marigold and Tarromin seeds as well. Decided to finish off my potato seeds rather than ditch them when I finish my Barley - cooking the extra potatoes left over after onion bribes will give me much-needed Cooking xp. There is a chance that I will have odd seeds left over from the hops and allotments - in that case I'll just sell them to a seed stall or something. Update: Finished off my Marigold seeds and started on the Rosemary. I expect to finish off my barley seeds within the next planting or two, and my Tarromin in the next two cycles. Getting close to level ^_^ 7-15-07: Finished with Barley seeds and started on the Jutes this cycle, and at the end of the cycle I finished with the Marrentills and loaded up on Harralander seeds for the next round. Additionally, I reached level 57 during this cycle, so this time round has been marked by lots of achievements ^_^ Next projected milestone: Whiteberries 7-18-07: Achieved 58 Farming last night, and finished with my Harralander seeds as well. Started planting Ranarr weeds. Current potato seed count is less than 700. Checked my Barley Malt/Jute ratio and should have plenty of bribes there. Next projected milestone: Still Whiteberries 7-21-07: Reached 59 Farming, and since I'm currently in Ardougne I can plant my first whiteberry bush without delay. Yay! Next milestone: Yew 7-27-07: 60 Farming!!! Now I can plant Yews (of which I only have one seed, lol) and have it all to myself instead of sharing with autoers. I'll plant it in the Varrock Courtyard (close to bank), using the cactus spines I've been collecting for the bribe. Also nearly through my rosemary and toadflax seeds, and will then move to my Nasturtium and Irit seeds, respectively. I might need to take an rc break soon and craft more waters and laws, but no huge rush now. Next projected milestone: Snapdragons 7-30-07: Planted my yew tree today, and per the Farming guide it should be grown in about a day and a half. No other milestones, though getting close to finishing my Rosemary and Toadflax. Update: Finished with my Rosemary and Toadflax seeds and started with my Nasturtiums and Irits. I'm overall very happy with my Snapdragon crop - Agility pots ftw! 8-1-07: Reached level 61 this evening, and finished with my Irit seeds. Starting on my Avantoes as well, though I noticed for the first time really how few of them I have. When I get up to Lantadyme I better be able to grow them right the first time or I'm hosed, lol. Also getting close to finishing my potatoes (FINALLY!!!), which means I'll be able to stop buying compost for bribes... 8-6-07: Got level 62 over the weekend, allowing me to plant my snapdragons ^_^... Had an awkward moment though as I ran out of kwuarm before getting my level, leaving the herb patches empty for about half a round, but no big deal. I'm especially pleased that I can apparently grow herbs that I can't yet identify. Next projected milestone: Belladonna Update: Finished with my Jute seeds this evening. Moving on to Hammerstones. 8-7-07: Finally finished with my potato seeds! I can't believe how happy I am to get those behind me... POTATOES FOR THE LOSE! Started planting onion seeds in Falador Farm. I still have the rest of the potatoes to harvest as I go around, but now I'm planting something else! YAY! Now the only thing I need to do as far as the potato-related stuff is sell back my leftover regular compost. 8-9-07: Reached 63 Farming last night, which means I can now plant Belladonna! As with all my specials, I'm using my "Supercompost and pray" method, but considering my good luck so far with specials I shouldn't have many problems. I just need to pick up some gloves this cycle for the harvesting. I'm in an awkward place, though, herbwise, since I finished off my Snapdragon seeds in one cycle and my level is not yet high enough for Cadantine. Oh wel, could be worse. Next projected milestone: Cadantine More Quests! Hand in the Sand (Started) Fairy Tale Pt 1 (Started) Fairy Tale Pt 2 Herblore: 54/60 As with Farming, I plan to use all the herbs I possibly can for this one, starting at Guam and working my way up. Supplies Vials: Herbs Guam: 437 Marrentill: 368 Tarromin: 303 Harralander: Ranarr Toadflax: Irit Leaf: Avantoe: Kwuarm: Snapdragon: Cadantine: Lantadyme: Dwarf Weed: Torstol: Seconds Eyes of Newt: Ground Uni Horns: Limp Roots: Red Spider Eggs: Toad's Legs: Snape Grass: Mort Myre Fungi: Cooking: 78/?? When I finish Farming, any crops leftover after the bribes will be Cooked (or, in the case of hops, brewed). This will be mainly just to tidy up my bank (which is getting to be a bit crowded. I won't know what levels I'm likely to gain until I'm done Farming, though. Watch this space. "I reject your reality, and substitute my own!" Artemis495
ZOMG Quests! Once my bank is a bit more cleaned out after Farming and Herblore I can get more quests done w/o worrying about the rewards cluttering up my bank space. In Search of the Myreque To kick off the Myreque arc In Aid of the Myreque Cold War This one will have to wait until after Zogre Flesh Eaters, as it requires a Mahogany Plank which I won't be able to get until I get access to the Mahog trees in Tai Bwo Wannai. The Penguin Agility Arena should come in handy though. Animal Magnetism For Ava's accumulator. This will help me train Range in the future (no more hunting down my own arrows). Eyes of Glouphrie The crystal saw will help a lot when I pick up Construction again. Shadow of the Storm (Started) Darklight sounds pretty cool, if for no other reason than to hang it on the wall in my POH Temple of Ikov(Started) Just to finish it up and unlock the Desert Treasure quest Underground Pass (Started) This one has been sitting unfinished for so long I'm surprised it hasn't grown mold >_< Witch's House (Started) Another case of tidying up. Crafting: 64/66 Here I'll finish up whatever Crafting levels I still need by Crafting the glass orbs I have in my bank into Water Battlestaves (I know I have more than enough to do that), though the tricky part will be getting to the Obelisk without getting eaten  Runecrafting 58/60 This should be a piece of cake. Prayer 49/60 Once I reach 66 Crafting I'll start slaying Blue Dragons for Hides (crafting), Scales (Herblore), and most importantly, BONES! I'll use these with the Ectofuntus in Port Phasmatys, which gives more xp per bone than the Gilded Altar. Hunter 31/60 Yeah, another 60. Once my bank is emptied out a tad this should be easier. The first thing I'll do when I get back to this is unlock all the Eagle Transport routes for easier hunting. Red = Not Unlocked, Green = Unlocked Jungle Desert Swamp More Quests Fremennik Isles Lunar Diplomacy For Lunar Magics Olaf's Quest Dream Mentor Darkness of Hallowvale Death to the Dorgeshuun Access to Dorgesh-Kaan Another Slice of HAM For Keldagrim/Dorgesh-Kaan Train route Family Crest (Started) Shield of Arrav Yeah, I'm a loser... Heroes Quest Heroes' Guild Legends Quest Legends' Guild Throne of Miscellania Royal Trouble Regicide Roving Elves Mourning's End Part 1 Mourning's End Part 2 Death Altar Desert Treasure For Ancient Magics Spirits of the Elid Horror from the Deep For Prayer Book; I have a Zammy page in my bank that needs a home Swan Song Construction 60/75 For Gilded Altar. I'll do as many quests as I possibly can before embarking on this one, since a handful do give Con XP. Once I reach lvl 75 I plan to completely refurnish it with the highest level furniture I can make (mahogany ftw!) Other Longrange Goals Unlock White Knight Master Armor (kill 1600 Black Knights) Expert Dragon Archer Chompy Hat (4000 Chompy Birds) Skull Scepter (Stronghold of Security) Full Castlewars Armor (any color) Full Rogue Outfit (Rogue's Den) Full Infinity Outfit (Mage Training Arena) Ghostly Robes (After Desert Treasure) Shadow Sword (After Fight Arena) "I reject your reality, and substitute my own!" Artemis495
Update 2-14-07: I got a nice little Valentine's Day present today - a Big Bass! Artemis495
Update: 2-15-07: I've noticed I've been collecting quite a lot of soda ash during my big net fishing, and for a bit I was trying to decided what to make it into, and where. "I reject your reality, and substitute my own!"
Artemis495
Update 2-20-07: Reached 74 Fishing over the weekend, and not long after that I reached 75 cooking  I have also since caught another Big Bass, but since I already have one in my house I'm not sure what I'll do with it. It's sitting in my bank for now. Going to get another level in Agility once I finish cooking the last of my Mackerels. I also got a halfkey from a casket over the weekend, and immediately after I bought the other half from a player. Dragonstones ftw! I've also discovered that the Man that hangs around the north fishing dock drops mad herbs : Current supplies for later Soda ash: 770 Pearl Bolt Tips: 1953 Opal Bolts (e): 516 Sapphires: 148 Emeralds: 79 Rubies: 48 Diamonds: 24 Dragonstones: 4 Guam: 68 Marrentill: 22 Tarromin: 18 Harralander: 15 Irit: 11 Ranarr: 9 Avantoe: 78 "I reject your reality, and substitute my own!" Artemis495
Update 2-27-07: Reached 75 Fishing and 76 Cooking over the weekend. Taking tiny break from Fishing to make glass vials in Zanaris (only to the next Crafting level) before I finish up fishing. I'm filling the vials at fairy fountains as I go, but I won't start adding herbs until I start Herblore properly. "I reject your reality, and substitute my own!" Artemis495
Update 3-5-07: Finished my Fishing Goal this afternoon. Will cook up all the leftover fish (victims of my impatience : ) and present the final tally of bolt tips, soda ash, and molten glass before finishing up my Agility (163 turns round the Barbarian Course, yay  ) After that, I'll go to Varrock and kill guards for their iron bolt drops (could make them myself, but feeling a bit lazy right now :XD:) Pearl Bolt Tips: 2895 Soda Ash: 795 "I reject your reality, and substitute my own!" Artemis495
Update 3-7-07: Agility done!
