The story of Walop, as told by the victim...

It was more than a year ago, when I was just a silly innocent Runescaper. I was just barely able to equip dragon items, having just reached 60 defense and 60 attack. I wanted to celebrate these levels with nothing other than a dragon item. So I begged and pleaded to my fellow Runescaper (you know him as Dalcyte), for a single item... a Dragon medium helm. At this point in time you may be thinking that a dragon medium helm is no big item, but back when this took place, it was over 1.4M. Finally after giving in, Dalcyte lent me the helm, making me promise to return it. I was very content then with my awesome dragon medium helm and dragon battle axe, along with my full rune. I walked around gloating about it near both of the Varrock banks. But after a few days I began to grow bored of the constant gloating, and I wanted a bit more action. I was then so very naive as to not understand the prevelant dangers of the wilderness... And I ignored them. I walked north just a bit outside of Varrock's walls. I took a few more steps out, and I was at the crowded level 1 wilderness. I was enjoying the thrill of stepping out and in with my fancy dragon medium helm, showing off how reckless and brave I was to risk it. As again I eventually grew tired of this, I looked around for a poor sap who I could challenge to a fight. As a low level 70, it wasn't easy to find someone, but I did, a Ranger in full black dragonhide. As impressive as that should have been to me, I ignored it, and asked him if he wanted to fight me. He said sure, and I attacked. Of course I didn't have any food with me at the time of this fight, only adding to the supreme naivete that I possessed concerning the wilderness. This little fact didn't bother me however, as I began pummeling him quite easily. I was going to win. I hit him hard with my mighty dragon battle axe, and I knew I was going to win. It was going to be so sweet! I would get a PK in level 1 wilderness with a dragon medium helm. As the fight dragged on I was still handily beating him, but he was using food. Eventually he ran out of food and as I hit the last strike, and put him to very low health, he shouted the dreaded word... "Walop!!!" And just like that, as I was going to win, I heard a horrifying noise. I clicked the mini-map to get away, but what's this? Yes! Entangled! I hadn't even realized I was in a multi-combat zone. A mage had run in from farther north, and entangled me, then began pummeling me with water blast, then another mage came from the eastern side and used water blast as well. I thought I might stand a chance here if the entangle wore off. I sat helpless watching my health steadily go down as I frantically clicked the mini-map to get away. Then another entangle. 2 more Rangers answered the "Walop" call and began shooting me down. And then a meleer joined in the fun. I was doomed. I was hit with another entangle, and shortly after I went down. I was skulled. I was done... I respawned in Lumbridge without any items, horrified and shocked from what had just happened. I then received a PM from the player who I attacked first. He got the dragon medium helm. He then proceeded to rubbing it in my face, and describing how his team murdered me... "Walop"... I wanted to quit Runescape forever then, I didn't want to explain what had happened to Dalcyte... It was an absolutely awful experience (which I have never really gotten over--I still think about it a lot), and after that, I have never even dreamt of entering the wilderness with anything but f2p PKing gear with other friends.

So there it is. The story of "Walop". It has been confirmed that "walop" was indeed a code signalling other people to attack me, which was set up by the group that attacked me. I wasn't Pile Jumped, I was attacked by an organized team. So that my friends, is why I hate the word "walop".

Remember the adventures of the magical non-healing salmon and the sara armor?

Of course! I actually died with 9 Hp left, quite a weird thing. I died then ate at the same time so I had 9 Hp.

What's the story of the magical non-healing salmon and the sara armor? :-s

after selling my red mask (ha, i had a mask set and sold it! What an idiot i was!!) for some sara armor and other stuff, ben asked if he could borrow the sara armor, because he wanted to complete his new look with a sara book or something like that. Long story short, he was training on paladins or knights of ardy or something, got really close to dying, hit 0 health, ate a salmon and died at 9hp. So i lost my sara armor except the full helm, and he got me full rune (g) or (t)? Then got scammed or something...

Anyway, ben is in debt to me about 50M...heh.

(not that much, but it's a heckuvalot :P )

Good Luck on 99 Ranged :)

You seem an organised person so you will have 99 before you know it.

Keep it up!

Why thank you very kindly...

And I had a pretty good game today. We tied 1-1, but I got the assist to our goal. Unfortunately I was taken out by the other team about midway through the second half and I got some pretty nasty bruises and cuts. I'd post a picture but I'm pretty sure "real life" pictures include pictures of my back... So, sadly, you won't get to seem my WICKED AWESOME cut on my back. And yes, it really is wicked awesome.
