February 2, 200719 yr Has anyone else been a bit "meah" over the series so far? After the ENG vs NZ last week, I pretty much gave up watching... Like I wasn't exactly watching anyways after Englands humiliations in the Ashes so I didn't have high hopes for improved performance for the Tri-Series, this game proved it... Result: New Zealand won by 90 runs England is meant to be the second best team in the world, and they were beaten (easily) by New Zealand, which is essentially at the bottom of the ladder. The entire cricket season to date has been a disapointment due to Englands hopeless performance. I almost feel sorry for anyone who's purchances tickets to any games where England is playing :-?

Haha, I went to the ODI Aus vs Eng at the Gabba which was more of a contest than the majority of matches Aus vs Eng over the summer. The ODI being played right now is a ripper. Eng set 291 or so and Aus were 2 down after the second over! :ohnoes: Forgive me, Eng scored 293. Must have been all the beer I've been drinking. =P~
February 2, 200719 yr Author Yea, todays match is perhaps the only time I've felt there's been any fight from the England side all summer :|
February 2, 200719 yr England are only the 2nd best team in the world "supposedly" in Test Cricket. Their 3rd last in the standing for ODI's only being ahead of Zimbabwe and Kenya I think from memory. Its definitely a contest today (thank God). Gilchrist got an awesome ball first up and is out as well as Hodge. Looking forward to when Symonds gets in.

Absolute ripper.

Like bottom of the ladder low. Its definitely a contest today (thank God). Gilchrist got an awesome ball first up and is out as well as Hodge. Looking forward to when Symonds gets in.This I can agree with. Although the "have to win to have any shot a the final" has me thinking it's the only reason there's any fight to this game :-? It's the first real resistance they've shown since Adelaide.
February 2, 200719 yr I hate to say it, but somehow I think England will beat us for the first time this summer... I was beginning to think it was impossible.

February 2, 200719 yr Author After this summer - if that team walks away with half of them coming back, i'll be impressed :|
February 2, 200719 yr Author Hopefully Symonds isn't too badly injured :cry:Comon, the guys a tank - he'll be right after a few beers and some steak :

February 2, 200719 yr We have our moments, but I'm sure the England team feels exactly the same as all other Englishmen right about now: Can't be arsed. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
February 4, 200719 yr What a win for Ricky and the boys! The captain with a century and Brad Hodge with 99* This one was more of a :ohnoes: .

February 4, 200719 yr Author I'm not a fan of the ODI ladder since teams like India, Sri Lanka and South Africa play teams like Kenya, Zimbabew and Bangladesh enough times to get their points up there. Call my synical; but when the only teams you play are generally crap - logically you'll have higher points than those who don't.

February 6, 200719 yr Author Oh my dear friend, they do not count the points way u thinking of.....How am I thinking? you might want to check ICC website and then post it again!!I know how the point system works. Difference in points effects how many you get for a win, and how many are taken for a loss. It's fairly simple to "break away" when you play teams with performance standards under what you normaly play (ie: Australia and South Africa). Sure the bottom 3 are almost 60 points behind Englnand, but that doesn't mean they still don't make for cheap points at point stage for most of the "middle order". Which is my point.
