Bier
The problem is that my sister can't run several IE7 applications at once, even though she can open up several flaps or whatever you call it, she is the only one in our family with this problem, it works fine on all the other accounts of our computer. Darrel104
I'm not too such but you could try making sure IE6 is uninstalled and if that doesn't work then you could try reinstalling IE7
Cruiser
I'm not too such but you could try making sure IE6 is uninstalled and if that doesn't work then you could try reinstalling IE7 You can't "uninstall" IE6 because it's so woven into the OS itself. You can remove the shortcuts and access to it, but it's still installed. Truly removing it will break a lot of things and is way too involved for most people around here. Why would you want multiple IE windows open in the first place? Using tabs in one window is much more organized. :? Opening several IE windows at once may be eating a lot or resources and made worse by whatever she is loading into them (Flash/Shockwave stuff, java, ect). Heartz_Mage
Your sister prob downloaded a virus or a program that keeps it from creating more than one. Like "Mutex" or "ClickOnce". Or the registry has been tampered with. The "CoCreate" or "CoCreateInstance" namely. This is just off the top of my head and I really don't go searching or looking in depth for other ppl but you can google anything I've said here and find out. Can also go to http://support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx and search for any problem and can also find or post questions below: Vista: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/commun ... fault.mspx XP: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expe ... eader.mspx Pragmatic, efficient, perfectionist. So I'm sorry ahead of time for any views, opinions, and decisions from myself :ÃÆÃâÃâ¦Ã¾

When you first set up her account last year, did this happen or did it occur after a certain amount of time from first ever running the computer? 2. When you reinstalled the OS this time did you reinstall from the Cerified Windows XP OS disc or from a Backup/Recovery disk? Heartz Pragmatic, efficient, perfectionist. When her account was created we used IE6 and she had no problems, as soon as we installed IE7 the problem was there. 2. I'm not sure, I don't think the OS was reinstalled only my account on the computer.
