Dragon Slayer (Done, feel free to lock)

Featured Replies

Well, I've decided to go over to Crandor and slay the beast. Problem is, I'm not sure if I'm able to do it or what is the best method for killing Elvarg. Hopefully the geniuses of Tip.It will be able to help me out. Remember though- I've already got all the map pieces, I just need help with Mademoiselle Elvarg.

First off, do you think I'll stand a good chance? Here are my combat statistics:

Attack- 45

Strength- 49

Defence- 45

Hitpoints- 47

Nothing special, but will it be enough? As you can see, I'm going to melee her (bringing plenty of lobsters, of course).

My second question is, what would be the best clothing to wear when I'm fighting Elvarg? Since her attacks are magic based, I presumed that it would be best to wear some sort of mage gear, however after a quick search of the forums, people seem to recommend some sort of armour.

Sorry to be a bit stupid about this, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I guess. :D

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dragonbreath is not a magic-based attack. Wear full rune with a chain for the body and kill with a rune scimitar. Strength potion will help.

I completed Dragon Slayer at only Combat lvl 40, wearing only full addy, with a Rune Skimmie...

Elgarg is weak to stab attack, so use that type of attack...

You just need a full inv of good food, and a strength pot...

Don't forget your Anti-fire shield, and 1 click tele (just in case)...

Good Luck

Thanks!

Hmmm, so it's not magic based? I must be reading the wrong guides... thanks for that. I'll bear it in mind for the future. Also, out of interest, where can I buy strength potions from players (preferably not too far away from Draynor)?

Fight her without that shield? Uhhh... :uhh:

Thanks for the help (and the good luck!).

U can buy strength pots anywhere in Runescape, but at your lvl u should be fine without if u can't get hold of any quickly...

If you have a Limpwurt root and Red Spider Eggs and 5gp, you can talk to the Apothercary (potions master) in Varrock (south of west bank, building with a purple lightbulb) and exchange for a Strength Potion(4).

Or simply buy from other players for 1k each.

I think I'll buy one anyway, just to be safe. Thanks again.

Well, that was actually much easier than I thought...

Had a little trouble at the start of the fight, but after getting her past half health she got really weak- to end her misery I drank two doses of strength potion and killed her relatively quickly.

Thanks for all the support guys- couldn't have done it without you!

If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.
