For the Slug menace quest i read in guides that u need talismans to go into each elemental altars. Can we use the abyss?

Yes, you can use the abyss for them. Had to use them myself since I didn't have talismans.

Yes, you can substitute the use of the Abyss in place of using the talismans.

You can use an Elemental Talisman (dropped by Abyssal monsters) to access the elemental altars aswell.
