on the guide it says get caught by one of them flapping vamps adn do the minning option to just come out north of the base - is that a joke?? cos i dont see it so can someone help please

that had me confused for a while too - it's 'just' north only insofar as you don't have to go all the way south...it's further south than you might think, though, and something of a chore to get there through the maze-like alleys. Good luck.

The option to mine is only given when you get caught in the northern section of the whole city. None of the vampires in the south of the area will give you the option to mine when you are caught.
