So last night I went into the fight caves after reading the aow guide, got all the way up to jad via ranged in about an hour and a half, then promptly got killed without ever seeing him from the mage attack, I was listening for it but had my speakers down so people could sleep. Any other tips to make my trip to jad faster/less expensive? Is summoning allowed/worth it? What familiars? (I have 61 atm). Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the responses guys, Think for now i'll focus on getting summoning up a bit selling my dfs and switching back to my rune defender(Dragon soon? :o), then i'll get my dungeoneering up to a decent level, prolly get the chaotic rapier, then i'll probably get my slayer/combat skills up, then get dungeoneering to 85 and kill frost dragons to fund prayer/herblore. If anyone has anything else I should know i'm all ears :)

Frost dragons? How long would it take me to get to 85 dungeoneering for them and why are they good money? Is the chaotic rapier better than the abyssal whip?

I took a look at the new prayers, WOW thats pretty awesome, unfortunately i'm only at 70 prayer so I don't have access to most of them... hmmm Also took a small look at dungeoneering, seems really big and confusing right off the bat, especially since it's a skill and what looks to be an elaborate minigame combined. Herblore was one of my favorite parts before I left, What level would be worth shooting for? 96 overload looks amazing but that is sure to be expensive and time consuming, i'm not extremely rich only having aobut a mil. Is making "Pures" still important or is pking still rather lackluster without putting millions into it? Any important quests I should get done? I have been hunting these for a small time with a berserker necklace and an obsidian mace. My max is 35 with slayer equipment and 85 strength and i hit over 20 almost every hit,my potions and food drain so they both run out about the same time... I reccomend you check into using this combo for waterfiends.

My range pures name is dokuhai... It means poison in japanese... Scary to the right crowd and unrevealing to all that i might actually damage them o.0. Basically if anybody has a name without numbers i applaud them on the inside...if i see someone who doesnt... :ohnoes:

I find that potion mixtures main problem is that they only hold 2 doses... I aint giving up 2 doses for 12 hp

on one hand the people i find myself associating with most of the time are helpful and mature... on the other hand lord forbid i lose my members subscription and wind up in lumby *shudders*

I personally dislike rcing to the core because of how boring it is and unrewarding it seems until higher levels, however i got it to 50 waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before this minigame came out and this game has given me an actual reason to train rc, double xp for crafting in game and up to 1k noted ess afterwards? I agree that you should not set a goal for one purpose, but theres nothing wrong with wanting to get into a minigame which wil inspire you to rc more. also the alter tele tabs are nice for switching to and from lunar magic and getting to some of the more remote places.

I have been testing this combo ever since i saw this thread... I've been mostly at cwars, dueling arena, and pest control. in all cases i've gotten both "You'll never kill me and my godsword with that tiny thing!" AND "omfg did you just hit a 35 O.o" I actually am hitting slightly higher than i would with my whip (1-2 points) and I beleive this combo is worth getting for and kind of combat. My stats are: Attack: 90 strength: 83 (training it, use stab it has a higher to hit bonus and most armor is weaker to stab) defense:75 Hp:85 prayer: 70 (i try to keep piety on most of the time) while i have no solid recorded data I have noticed a major increase in the amount of xp i get per hour and this is now my favorite weapon. When I picked up the mace and tested it i found that it hit for more damge than the sword but the speed decrease and apparent loss of accuracy (if not 0 it never hit its max while the sword hit my max a lot) made the mace not worth using.
