I was thinking of something worthwhile to do, and I thought that the Varrock Library needs a small corner, in a dank, drab room, where the most serious authors can get together and talk about writing in general, perhaps write tutorials on writing, have writeoffs that might give the library a couple more members. Maybe even have projects where the whole library works together to write a large story.

I'm sure this wont work out, but its just a try. The Varrock Library had probably the strongest community of all the sections of this great forum, and I think that if we are able to have a place to chill out, we will be able to get an even stronger community.

So my question is, who would like to join a group dedicated to serious writing discussions, serious writing, and helping the new people who enter the library get the gist of what this society of writers is about.

I want some help from Archimage, because I know he probably will support this. Archimage could probably help us get rolling, maybe even make this a sticky.

Once we aquire enough members, we can work on projects, and if anyone has any ideas, tell me, and we can work it out.

Where a story will be posted bi-weekly which you can then talk about, or rewrite in your own style. Since there have been other ideas suggested:

Book review

Write about a subject

and the like, we can, if you want to, change the nature of the sticky.

So as not to scare our new member please PM any strong arguments to me, and I promise I will take them as serouisly as anyone's. If you just want to give an opinion post it here and I will PM you back if I have any questions. :

Can anyone with any concerns please PM me rather than post them here, I am going to create a mailing list so we can talk about things without flaming.

So... anyone got anything they'd like to suggest? Activity ideas, for instance? Writing guides? (I'd be happy to do one, if that's ok with everyone). Are we trying to advertise to people, and if so who, where and how?

We could form an honorary group, if people want to. There would be no frills but its something that everyone could do. ;)

I could care less if I make a grammatical mistake in a regular post. Stories are where I try harder.

Would be good if you could post links to the guides and the authors corners in the first post Ratchet.

Gonna get my act together and write up a story writing guide.

Oh crap...I haven't done an authors corner in a while...Might have to do that.
