Fire Cape

Featured Replies

Hi there.

Its allways been a dream of mine to get a fire cape and my friend with 70 range is going to try and get one and with a lower defence lvl so i asked him for a little friendly race to see who could get it first.

Set up i can spend about 1.6m on it and will have 20+ prayer bonus.

First Attempt Btw so i know i may fail.

(Read Muggis Guide)

So what exactly are your levels?

Buy Torag helm, blk d hide chest, verac skirt, 16 super restores, 6-8 brews, 2-3 range pots, 150 diamond e bolts, 600 or so emmy e, glory or stole, snakeskin boots, rune c bow, granite/obby shield.

Okay guys my exact lvls are.. (the ones that matter)

Hp: 90

Defence: 81

Range: 73

Prayer: 60

And my equipment is

Archers Helm

Zammy Stole

Karils Top

Verac Skirt

Snakeskin boots

Accumulator

Dragon Gloves

Book of Balance

2k Emerald Bolts (e)

Rune Cross Bow

Equipment:

16 Super Restores (4)

8 Sara Brews (3)

3 Range Pots (3)

250 Purple Sweets.

Is this good enough ?

it surely is good enough but a bit higher range would help and you will fail the first time(everyone does;)....

instead of sweets, bring 150 diamond e bolts, they will help alot (especially at your range level) to kill jad and the 360s.

8 brews? lol.

Try 20 restores and 4 brews.

You're stats are kind of low, but if you know what you're doing you can get it.

Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool

use muggi's guide and my advice to you is do not underestimate jad's healers

i attempted it once and got all the way to Jad using muggi's guide. Had him right where i wanted him, safespoted and all so i could start the fight whenever. After 50% his healers came, i got the in the line, yet i was to focused on prayer shifting to notice my health. Overestimating Jad and underestimating his healers ruined those 2hours of trash to wipe at 40% or so.

lost rights to my dark red text >:(

12/20/06 - QUEST CAPE OF ACHIEVEMENT

Barrows sets: guthan, verac, dharok, maybe ahrim eventually <- lost to a hacker whole stole everything of worth from my bank

My suggestions (some advice taken from AoW)

Helm-Verac's Helm (Helm of Neitznot is cheaper alternative)

Neck Slot-Fury (Glory is cheaper alternative)

Body-Karils Top (Black D'Hide body is cheaper alternative)

Legs-Veracs Skirt (Proty/Initiate Legs are a cheaper alternative)

Boots-Ranger Boots (Snakeskin boots are a cheaper alternative)

Shield-Unholy Book (Book of Balance, Dragonfire, or Holy Book are cheaper/more expensive alternatives =p)

Weapon-Rune C'Bow + 2k Diamond Bolts OR Karils X'Bow+4k Bolt Racks

Ring-Archer's Ring (Ring of Recoil if you don't have)

Cape-Ava's Accmulator if Rune C'Bow. Obby cape would work if using Karils.

Gloves-Highest level RFD Gloves (a.k.a. Dark/Barrows). If you don't have that, use Black D'hide vamps.

Inventory:

3 Range Pots (4)

7 Sara Brews (4)

and rest are Super Restores (4)

ALWAYS ALWAYS have 4 dose pots. And don't bring purp sweets, waste of inv space. Also, bring only one kind of bolts, cause more = yet another waste of inv. space.

Ultimately, decide for yourself, but using better equipment will provide you with a better chance of surviving a hit from jad/killing jad faster =p
