Yes I am writing another story. If anyone else would like to join in, as always they can. Anyway despite its looks it is 3rd person.

(Ok this is just after I finished this bit and wanted anyone who reads this to not judge the story entirely by this, it is a dry and somewhat boring briefing, some of which is copied from the Manual for Red Alert 2. The rest of the story will be hopefully be less dry and less boring.)

--Congratulations on the completion of step one of the Temporal Acts. Reading this means there has been a temporal incident that has wiped the temporal timeline and created a second alternate one. The room has been sealed and chronetically shielded. You have ONE hour(s) till shift completion. After this time you will be at the point 15th of JANUARY 1953. The following audio-visual briefing has been prepared to play once. When the shift has been completed the memory cores will be erased.

--'If you could go back in time, what would you change? Would it be possible to prevent wars from ever occuring? Or would tampering with the past have drastic effects on the present and future?

Experiments in time HAVE drastically altered the course of history.

In 1946; this man, Albert Einstein, went back in time to remove this man, Adolf Hitler, soon to be ruler of the Third Reich and begin the bloodest war in History. His History. The assassination altered the fates of nations and thus the Entire world. The Soviet Union found herself without enemies to check her expansion to the West. Under Josef Stalin: who you ought to be familier with: they began a march to the Atlantic, hoping to fulfill their manifest destiny of a continetal Soviet Union. Soon only the island nation of Britian stood agaisnt it. However an illustrious commander ralied the remains of the Allies to thrust back into the very heart of Russia itself. The mysterouis death of Stalin lead to much specuation but was over shadowed by the fate of the largest empire on Earth. The American's who had entered the war in the closing months had wanted to spread democracy but unlike the so-called 'World War 2' Communism, it was well liked and the people did not want to return to a class system. The new Soviet Union under the leadership of Alexi Romanov prospered, but behind closed doors a deep hatred of their defeat lurked. The complacent Allies relied on spies and the supposed puppet president Romanov to warn them, neither did. It was believed, now confirmed, that this man, known only as Yuri, was responsible for the destruction of the entire Allied spy ring being shut down. Then in 1982, while in his second term the US president Doogan faced the complete might of the Russian army. While it attempted to retaliate in accordance with MAD(Mutually Assured Destruction) the missiles were somehow disabled and exploded in the silos. Even so the same Commander was able to rally what few loyal Americans that had not fallen to the Mind Control of Yuri. The attack was rebuffed and by use of the primative Chronosphere a second attack into the heart of Russia stopped the war in its tracks. However exactly one year later Yuri resurfaced. After a week of fighting the first temporal incident occured, the Allies sent a group back to the beginning of the war and stopped it then. The combinded forces then lead a one year campaign against Yuri at the end of which Yuri was finally killed. As the final surviving advisor to Stalin the old ways finally died. The USSR was finally set straight by restoration of Lenin under an assumed name, it now continues to compete in the world as a superpower and through a series of talks the entire nuclear arsenal of both USA and USSR was dismantled. Or so the public record records. In fact the USA and USSR have dismantled their Arsenals but only in favour of a new, more powerful weapon. Time Travel. At first the primative technology of the 'Third Great War' was used in a purely defencive weapon, avoiding the assassnation of many an important person. However it was apparent it could be used offencively. To this end this organisation was set up in 1990. The UNCaTA (or United Nations Chronologic and Temporal Association) was the leading temporal agency, but it soon became obvouis that each of the superpowers were going to devolp their own version of the technology. The British actually gained the largest advantage in this field after the successful Operation:Gap. Its aim was to bend a signifcant amount of energy around a target to create a temporal bubble. The experiment had been attemped years earlier in the 'Second Great War' on a ship know as the 'Philadelpia', but its success was somewhat lower. Operation:Gap created a test bed for many highly effective temporal weapons and devices. However the 'Philadelphia II' was attempted in America with similar but less than expected results, leading to some what of a cold war. Russia came onto the scene somewhat later than the others as it did not have access to the Chronosphere originally. It did however have a huge supply of Tesla Coils. The power was eventually harnessed in an experiment similar to the original 'Philadelpia' project, but with results that were even greater than that of Operation:Gap. The final entry was Europe, lead mainly by Germany and it's scientist Einstein it progressed with great speed, though is yet to announce a breakthrough project. But the time gap between the actual devolpment and announcement may come into play here. Each organisation has improved the technology in different ways, as have we. Our technology has been focused on the prospect of Dialation(Speeding and Slowing of the passage of time), to which end we have progressed significantly.

--The time referanced, 1953, is significant in temporal history for two main reasons. Firstly in the 'World War 2' timeline Stalin died, this was seen as the major collapse of the Soviet Union as it left it very much weakened as Stalin had killed many of the best commanders to prevent take over. Secondly in the 'Second Great War' or 'Your' timeline it was the beginning of the Second Great War and the First recorded notation of the two characters known as Kane and Yuri. Kane mysterouisly disappeared and Yuri stayed out of the way and eventually started the Third Great War with Romanov. Coming after 1946 the change souly effects 'Your' timeline and not the 'Second World War' timeline. There is no information as to why or how the change happened or to what it changed. It is possible that the European project 'Europa' knows something as they have been focusing of the study of Temporal Mechanics, and will have more accurate knowladge of the effects. To this end control of the internal Chronosphere is at your disposal along with the transmisional interface. Iy is recommended that you discover the location of the other four temporal agents, and meet up with them. Sensory date for that time period has indicated that a small island off the coast of Britan is currently unihabited. Though other agents may have different locations in mind. As the United Nations agent you are expected to prevent any tampering though the incident that started this, or by the other agents. The Chronosphere onboard has one charge only and all data will be wiped, please find out all you can from the onboard computer in the next 34 minutes before the shift completes.

With that the screen went blank and after a moment the gray backround was replaced with a shiny black. Richard Hardings could see his reflection in it. He lent back in the chair that he had climbed into the moment klaxon had wailed and the door had snapped shut. He looked towards the celing and closed his eyes. Under his breath he quietly asked 'What am I doing here?' Maybe a minute later he opened his eyes, sighed and looked back at the moniter. 'One result for the query 'What am I doing here?' He couldn't help a slight smile as he clicked on the file.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Interesting beginning. Despite its long and rather slow nature, it makes way for a great story. It is mysterious and has an odd deep meaning. It will be interesting to see what comes next.

You have no idea how powerful words are....until they hit you in the head.

--This response is perfectly normal in the situation you are currently in, however you need to break out of it as soon as possible. You have limited time to do research before you are left without the chance. The computer has full details of weapons of the time period as well as a commando pistol that was circa during the Second Great War. It is recommended that you get to grips with it and the weapons you may face. Remember you are a supervisor not a commando it is your job to keep things as they are, not blow up the nearest building.

---Reset active.

Richard lent inwards, towards the computer. He had studied the Second Great War but never in such great detail. The computer spat out statistics for weapons of every size shape and effect. Nothing had been over looked. He got the pistol and fired off a few rounds, partly to get to grips with it and partly to release some tension. It was a clean shot, the sort that gave the commandoes their legendary status. He breathed heavily, each of his nerves bristled with fire, as though he had become a hero. There was also a much more powerful Legionnaires Rifle, the power of time in one gun. He triple locked it before breaking it down to its component parts. The rifle was a weapon in its own right, nothing compared to it power.

About twenty minutes had passed seventeen to go and the sense of desperation had returned. As Richard looked, glazed over, at the screen of the computer he wondered. What if I do something wrong, what if I kill someone important. The minutes ticked preciously away, he flexed all his fingers preparing to do something on the computer but nothing came to him, and he sunk back into the chair. Another minute passed, and then another but then all of a sudden the button in the corner of the screen, an update? When did those guys at Massivesoft give up? No it was a message. Odd, shouldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t everyone beÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâænot dead but something like that? Old Chap, could it be the British?

-ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâer no not really. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæwho are you?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâOh right sorry about that, I am David, David Maxis. The supervisor from the BTT? DidnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t you read the file?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâEr it must not have loaded, IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m Richard Hardings, UN supervisor. Has anyone else been in contact?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâNo not as of yet but I only just finished reading the file now, so they should be online any moment. I was surprised to see you on first though, I am normally a pretty fast reader.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

---ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâSame old, same old. So what were you saying about us and the Russkies? We are not at all alike.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâNot what the dossier says. You are both focused on the same aspects and with your lead matched by their progress your information canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be that different.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

---ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâOld UN knows best? We are completely different, we won the war didnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t we?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâThatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s uncalled for Terry. The war is in the past, or it was at least. We are all friends now.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

---ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâTell that to my father.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

---ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYou started the wars so donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t come crying when we show you whoÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s boss.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâDo you want me to personally show you my devastator?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYour what?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâThe devastator, latest weapon of the CCCP? You want me to tell you itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s secrets?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâIf you would be so kind.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâThe devastator is the hybrid of Tesla technology. Rail gun and pistol rolled into one. The pistol also fires a Chrono-Capable bullet. Armour is useless against it, passes straight though.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâThatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s quite a bit of kit, whatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the odds you have got something equally deadly in reserve.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYou are so right mister?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâForgive me, David, David Maxis. The UN is RichardÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæHardings? And the US is Terry Chase. Yourself?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâSophia Tesla. My father was the late Nicolas Tesla. But in answer to your first questionÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ I also have two Tesla coilÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s built into the outfit. Its also, as you say, quite a bit of kit. Designed it myself.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâWell I am honoured to have you with us Sophia, perhaps you can provide us with some help?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâI thought as much, I have a Devastator for all four supervisors. The suit however is a bit harder to come by so I have only the one.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâThank you. I must see this Chrono-Capable bullet, if its all you say it is then I might have a little something to help.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâI look forward to it. Now where are you landing?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâAn island of the coast, we are all heading there.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâWell I will need to reset my systems can someone send the co-ordinance?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâOf course. We are still waiting on the Europeans, so how come we at the UN havenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t heard about the Devastator, or the Tesla suit, or even you? Odd to have a lead scientist that we donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know aboutÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâIf you remember the UN is still out on whether we could have a temporal project. The Americans were none to helpful with that.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

---ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâSo we should be suspicious of your arms. We agreed to a limited temporal program that you could develop, and then we find that you are progressing faster than any other county. Sounds like you were already developing the weapons.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâI assure you that we were not. My fathers understanding of Tesla coils and my own gave us an advantage. But beyond that we were as much in the dark as the rest of you.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâWell we can guarantee that.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâHello Hans. How are you doing?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâFine Sophia, started the party without me again?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâHow do you know each other, the Europeans seem odd allies for the Soviets?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYes it does but then again, who thought the British would be so well developed?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâWe try.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâWell we met last year at the Socialist party meeting in Germany.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

---ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâDamn, donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t say we have a socialist AND a communist. I can only just handle the welfare state British.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYes I am afraid that you are dealing with a socialist. But back to the story, we met at the meeting, and got on well. It was only afterwards I discovered her true identity. Since then we have been negotiating for a ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâleg upÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ in our temporal arms program.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYes, we have regained a fairly good level of our POW and other prisoners in central Europe. We estimate that next year we will have a one third party majority, opposed to the current one forth majority of the socialists. Held on to only by a coalition of the Weimar republic and the Democrats to give them a one half majority.

---ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâAs it should be, you Europeans are a strange lot.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâPerhaps you would care to tell me what I have missed?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYes, we are all heading to an island off the coast of Britain, and Sophia here has kindly agreed to lend us a set of devastators to replace the old Commando pistol. Care to tell us what you have.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYes. I have the commando pistol and the new Prism suit. The prism suit, before you ask, is a suit that draws power from nearby and channels it into the weapon. The weapon is your standard prism tower beam. It has been reeking five different types of hell over here, its why it took so long to get up and running.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâInteresting. I wonder how many suits you have?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-----ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâJust the one I am afraid.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

--ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâOh well I suppose one of us will have to be the spy. For king and country, queen at the moment.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

-ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâDavid no more about the monarchy. We all know how great they are so can we just get on with the mission. We have less than a minute so I need to check the systems. See you soon.

---Program closing

The blue aura that had filled the room unnerved him slightly but now nothing could stop him. Half an hour ago he had been a trainee agent, now he was part of crack team. More than that in less than thirty seconds he would be in 1953, ready to watch the greatest military army to that date march on continental Europe.

A sound like a tyre starting to go round and round, turning a rubber loop that was just not quite tight. Then like a brick though glass in slow motion, the pasted exploded onto him.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Awesome story so far. I would suggest a bit less conversation (even though it was essential to this chapter) and some more action. The computer seems to be telling a lot of the story. Was that planned?

Not really. Well in the first bit it was. The second bit only has that little bit, if you are refering to the communications:

--British

----Russian

---American

-----European

-UN

It was just to eat up the rest of the hour where the story was going to be boring. After this we are going to be arriving on an island off the coast of Britian, and well...after we have left there we are going to be pretty much launching into the opening stages of 'The Second Great War' Josef Stalin is about force the Soviet Union into a direct assault against Europe, within a year or so the western powers will be pushed back to the French and Spanish coasts. Then due to circumstances contained in the story there will be an even longer fight all the way back to the walls of Moscow. But the now adopted Allied Blitzkreg it has used to get into Russia is bogged down in Russian winter. Its six years later and the War is still going, but the Americans have just joined the Allies and lead a second major offencive, again to walls of Moscow. But in the mean time what has transpired? Will technology be leaked or will there be developments on their own?

So there is going to be a fair bit of action, they are a group of five, that need to find the indiviual changes in history that lead to some sort of Temporal change that will so badly effect the future they have been set back by an automated program. To change history in a major way you either need to kill someone or you need to do alot of minor changes. I wouldn't worry the story will pick up...besides that the computer is about to die...so no more story from that. \' <----You

Sounds good so far. Interesting events, almost as though it's WWII all over, but in a later era with a LOT better technology.

That was sort of the point. If Adolf Hitler was removed then the USSR would have a super strong army with not alot to oppose it. That sort of effect would easierly lead to the domination of Europe. Its why it is the Second GREAT War. The Great War was the name given to WWI. So if WWII hadn't happened then they might have named it The Second Great War, because America didn't really get involved and nothing happened outside of Europe...so...

The story starts in the 1990's after The Third Great War...which took place almost entirely in America...But it could be World War Two I suppose, because the fighting did spill over.

We are currently in Temporal holding. Then we will be in 1953...Which has the technological advances of Tesla Coils and the different sides, but not much else changed from WWII.

Anyway I will get the next part up as soon as.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

If einstein removed Adolf Hitler from the past, there would be no war right? So how would einstein then know to go back into the past and stop it? He wouldn't, so there would be a war. But then because of the war he would go back into the past and stop Hilter.

It's all just a cycle, there's no such thing as changing time.

Oh bitter sweet irony.

Ok then there are three possible ways you could do this.

Standard Time Theory: (This is the one universe that follows a linar track)

You chronosphenetically(or Temporally) shield the room and or person they were not effected by the changes.

The other STT Way

Because you are in the past you are not effected by the changes. As such you change time and are not effected so it is not un-changed.

The Quantum/Probably Right Theory(One I believe)

There is an infinate number of universes where anything could happen. So by trasporting yourself back in time you are PERSONALLY going back to a specific point and taking a different path. You then travel back forwards along that path and eventually you reach the present time and it is the same time but you are in a different universe.

Crude pictographic referance:

You chose to exist at 1932-No

You chose to kill adolf Hitler at that time-No

Hence-Adolf Hitler is alive, and starts WW2

Hence-You go back in time

Hence-You chose to exist in 1932

Hence-You are no longer in your dimension

Hence-You are now following a different universe

Hence-You chose to stop Hitler

Hence-Hitler is stopped and WW2 does not happen

Hence-You are living in a quantum universe were Hitler does not exist but you do.

Hence-You have not changed History, you have transplanted yourself into an alternative History were Hitler did not exist.

The three arguements are supported by actions taken in Red Alert, and Red Alert 2(Yuri's Revenge)

-The technian helping Einstien is not effected, so Chronospheric Shielding was involved.

-Einstien travelled back in time, and stopped Hitler. So Temporal effects did not effect him.

-The Commander is transported through time. He is the same person on the other side, yet changes history, and does not go back to the present time instantly.

If you believe the Quantum Theory-with Temporal Shielding, then the whole thing makes sense. Also the Quantum theory destroys the Paradox, because if both realities exist then there is not a problem. It also allows you to go back and do the same thing over and over. It pretty much allows for every single possiblity....It might not be right, I am not saying it DEFINATELY is. But I am saying that for the purposes of the story the Quantum Theory has been accepted.

Can you please comment on the story next time?

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Welcome back, Commander_

-E.V.A.

The bluish hue faded from the dazzling white it had been. The explosion of sound had disappeared completely though, it was quite silent for a moment. A whining of a generator replaced it rather suddenly. Richard waited a moment for it to level out, but it kept climbing. The discharge sparked across the consoles and the hard drives melted out in the form of glass, their components encased within. It was over in less than a minute, but for that minute Richard was transfixed, he even stopped breathing. His nostrils flared as is sucked the air in and a tingle shot across his whole body as the minute of sensory deprivation caught up with him. The question resurfaced "What am I doing here?" He might never have moved again if not for the piercing sound of gunshots outside.

A girl, in what can only be described as metallic skin suit, was crouching behind a black podship. It was almost the same as his own, if not for the Tesla Coils instead of Gap Generators in the corners. Next to her, but out in the open was a man. He was so typically dressed it was hard to not think he was a Briton. His look was that of a spy, as if he had stepped out of the Second Great War, even the trademark bowtie was in place.

"Put the gun down Terry" It must have been David because he couldn't imagine him being anyone other than the British agent.

"Get away from her David. She's a Russian and you are at war now, so kill her or I will."

"Calm down, we don't even know whatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s going on. Look just stop before you do something to put us in even greater..." While he was speaking the Girl, who must have been Sophia, slowly opened a bad in the suit. A thin tip and ball emerged from the wrist. He looked closer and saw that the entire suit was one giant Tesla Coil, mounted upon a normal rubber skin suit."...danger than we are already in!"

"I don't care, I am going to kill her and you can't stop me" It was then she struck. An expert side roll put her just the other side of David. She fired once. The bolt of energy hit him square in the chest. He went very rigid and dropped the gun, it looked like he might recover, the shot only winding him as he took a step back. But the suit flashed silver and he began to lean forward and didn't stop till he hit the floor.

Richard drew his gun, "If you don't tell me what the hell that was and shut it down I will be forced to shoot."

Sophia stayed very still for a moment, then pressed the pad again and the weapon retracted. "Its stun setting, he'll be fine in about half an hour. Now can you put the gun down, I don't want to start this mission by having to stun two of my colleagues."

Richard had already lowered the weapon, and had resheathed it in the belt of his trousers. But he still had his hand there, just in case. "I am sorry. I didn't want to shoot you, but it did look like you had killed him, and we can't have anyone, including him, going around shooting people at random."

David, who had been waiting for a momentary lull in conversation, went over to Richard. "I know it's not cricket but perhaps we should lock him up till we can assess how much of a threat he is? Surely our own security is the primary concern."

He thought about it for a moment "No, if we start turning on each other then who knows what is going to happen next. No, it will be much safer if we just guard him, and talk to him when heÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s come round."

David nodded in agreement but his face gave away little, probably trained at Oxford and then Scotland Yard, Master of Disguise no doubt. "Myself and Sophia are going to go look for Hans, we haven't seen him yet. Can you stay here and watch him?"

"Yeah, if he comes round I will try to talk to him. God speed, and do be careful, like he said we are at war and if someone sees you then you'll be shot as a traitor."

"Of course. For Queen and Country." He gave a smile as Richard shook his head.

Richard took up position against the British Podship. It looked...almost nothing like his own. It was fashioned in the form of a blue police box. Richard thought back to one of the flights he had taken to Britain; it was two days before the invasion of America probably saved his life, he was watching the in-flight entertainment. Of course it was British Airways, they held singular power over the airwaves, and pretty much everything else after the Second Great War in Europe. So of course it was a BBC listing and a show caught his eye 'Dr. Whom'. For the rest of the flight, and right up till they made him leave the airplane because they were about to take off on the return flight, he watched the series. He was dieing to see if they had actually achieved what the reports said they had, making it bigger on the inside than out. But the door was locked and he didn't want to break in. He remembered first hearing that America was under attack, he was in his hotel room watching his newly bought full series of Dr. Whom. When the porter rang up. He rolled his eyes and just out of the corner of them he saw Terry stirring.

He held his gun level with Terry's head. Terry looked up and saw him. The look in his eyes was not that of fear but of bloodlust and pure hatred. Richard felt himself weaken, but Terry hung his head for a moment. When he looked back he could see a tear roll down his cheek.

"I know we are supposed to be working together. I know, itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s just...Just she's...It just what they did. What Yuri did. The Grinders. They, they took my daughter. I live though two World Wars and that happens. I keep thinking, 'If only I was closer, if only I had put the workshop at the front of the house, rather than the back.' That one room. She was sitting there, watching the T.V. and I hear his voice inside my head. 'My command is your wish' we both left the house and joined the line of people heading towards the city centre. She stood one place in front of me, if we had just been reversed then she would have been saved."..."I don't suppose you have ever seen a Grinder working, or smelt the blood under foot. Hell you would have screamed. Hell I would have screamed, but the voice was there, telling me it was good and that I was to follow orders. She went in, and I heard her screams. They withdraw their mind control when you are inside, when you are near death they switch focus or they die themselves. Then I was there. The doors sealing behind me. I heard the whistling of a missile just above my head, and felt the shockwave as it exploded just ahead of me. Blew out the Command Net, I was told later. At the time though? I just grabbed the nearest gun and went to my 'masters' aid. I shot two of the rescuers before they took him down. I suppose I owe the Brits that much, it was a sniper that got him. Suddenly the image of Yuri was gone, and I could think for myself again. I turned around and shot two more of those clones, the area was secure and I vowed that I would protect my Homeland by killing every Russian I saw after that. It wasn't until much later that I realised it was Yuri alone doing it, but by that time I had let anger take over. After, after the war. I went to serve down in San Francisco, when I was assigned to the Commander's group I knew I was going to get my chance to get after them again. Then when the Time Machine was charged I was the first one out there, went up and down the streets and must have taken at least fifty of their people out. Afterwards I was posted to 'Philadelphia'. Got my chance to get back at them were it hurts, and when those doors locked and I read my brief I knew what I needed to do. I was going to come back and save the people that didn't quite make it and make those Russians pay."

Richard replaced the safety pin, and put the gun back into his belt. They sat their for a while. Not talking, not even looking at each other.

Maybe an hour past before they heard David's laughter roll across the top of a hill.

"Well I never thought Europe was ready for this whole time thing. If it wasn't for my father being who his is then I wouldn't even be standing here, and it would be just you four." It was someone else's voice, must be Hans.

As they came over the rise the new face saw Richard and raised his hand in a wave. Richard waved back sombrely. They probably hadn't told him. He motioned to Terry to get up. Hans was almost running down the hill, he was probably no older than eighteen. He looked almost familiar. Hans grasped each of them by the hand and embraced them in the European style. A small amount of his jollity must have spread though the air because Terry was suddenly full of energy and smiled lightly. The group came back together as Terry and Hans talked hurriedly between each other. "I knew it was you. You lot didn't you know it was Hans Einstein!?"

Richard felt his cheeks redden as he realised it was him. It didn't make any sense though, Hans should have been at least ninety. But didn't want to seem stupid by asking. But it passed and Terry walked up to Sophia, stood a moment and extended his hand. A gesture of friendship. She took it and they exchanged an unspoken forgiveness.

It would take a while to get to know each other but Richard's training took control of the situation, remembering the handbook. 'The first mission should always be to set up a base of operations.' "Hans would you happen to know the exact date? I want to know if the war has started, or not, and the computer recommended you as the expert in that field."

"Yes, quite. Our computers are a bit more advanced than your, so we can more accurately predict the changes in the timeline. My sweeps before the shift engaged showed us to be heading for November, but beyond that I am going to have to rely on the moon and that would be...late November, twenty...eighth? Yes about there."

"Wait. Are you saying we have arrived on the day that Stalin has started the invasion? Did the changes occur here or do we have some time to prepare?"

"...No I am afraid our calculations are out by some distance. The changes seemed to start the middle of March this year. This close to 1946 though? I am just happy to get the right year." He smiled weakly.

Richard sat stunned for a moment. They were too late, all their equipment and they were too late. He turned away from the group and looked up into the sky, it was about six in the evening, and at this time of year the stars were just starting to appear. In the distance a wail of an air raid siren went off....that wasn't right? It was 1953, the Russian's didn't even get in range of Britain for another year, and even then it would be 1955 before they actually started raids. "Ok we are all tired and we need a plan. Whatever happens we need to set up a camp. Hans, do you think you could get your Podship over here? We might be able to cover the area with David's Gap field towers, if we use my Chrono-rifle as a power source. Sophia, we are going to need to get something to eat, and you are the only one with a useable power source...well one that isn't going to delete it from history, try to catch something. Terry, I need you to scout the area. David, try to get across to the mainland, we need to know what is going on. I am going to see what the Emps haven't fried, so I am gonna need your keys."

The group was taken a back by his forward thinking, but didn't question him. Moments later they broke out into their objectives and began their first mission...Survival.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not what you do that is important, its that you do them.

-Gandi

Exhausting all but snap, which Richard just got a bit too competitive with, they were forced to turn their attention to the screen. It wasnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t like watching a video, were it stayed steadily going forwards. No, it was more like downloading a file from the intranet, jumping from years to decades per second and back again. But it didnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t make any real difference to them. It was a line crawling across a screen. A completely flat, parallel line is never interesting for more than a second. That was the course of this history till 1926 where they saw the characteristic jutting in that their timeline was formed by. It came crashing back down to the original line. No, not quite it was ever so slightly off from it. Something must have happened, and that something could only have been the Return of Adolf Hitler. The time line continued a split second and then suddenly jerked way off of the original. It was 1937. What had happened then? But anotherÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæsomething appeared at 1953. It wasnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t them it was just before. A bulbous lump on the timeline, not just that, it looked like an octopus thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s tentacles spread backwards. They were thin, far to thin to mean anything but a blip in the space time Continuum, except one that was. One was an incredibly thick thing, far too large to be a time travel attempt. It was far too large to be anything they had come across. It spread back to 1939. The other lines seemed to weave in an out of the timeline, crossing boundaries as it went. This cataclysm of events has happened in less than ten seconds. Ten of those later they were still reeling from it.

ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâWellÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ Richard began, ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâI guess thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the end of covert opsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ He left the sentence hanging and turned to Hans, he appeared to have lost everything and looked vacant. Neither of them could do anything but wait for the others.

Sophia was the first to return, she carried with her two dead geese and what appeared to be a rack of fish. She had a smile on her face, ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâI hope you two are hungry.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ The smile didnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t vanish but it did waver for a second. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâAre you two alright?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ She looked them in the eye, put the food down and said ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâOk tell me what is going on, before it gets worse.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ She didnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have a Pessimistic or Optimistic voice, it was a careful voice.

ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâIt couldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t get worse.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ They said it together, it was bone chilling in such a way the smile dropped off her face completely. Richard continued after a moment. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâTo cut a long story shortÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæWe have found the changes started back in 1926. That alone makes it impossible for us to control the damage. But there is something else. Something happened earlier this year. Some sort of time hub. Whatever it is it is spewing time back into the past, most of it has dissipated but there are waves going into the future as well, anything could happen.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ It was the resigned manner that capped it off. There was nothing to argue with, Sophia knew it, they cause was lost. Their mission over, and now they were trapped in an alternate timeline with no way of getting home.

ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâI seeÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ Her expression was one of fortitude, but her tone was out defeat. It was desolate, all hope wiped out. She just stood there as the will power that drove her bled into the floor. The three of them just stood their, watching the line get slowly further and further away from their friends, family and lives.

Night had fallen before David and Terry had returned. They both looked bored, but contented, and maybe a bit hungry. Sophia told them what had happened, she used the same words. They hadnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t talked so she didnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know anything else. Terry took the news in a some what different way. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYou mean what happened can never happen again! You mean she wound die!ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ He wasnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t so much jubilant and ecstatic. He took the food and began to cook it, lighting a fire with two sticks. The others paided little attention to him, they were looking for a plus side and not just one for him. David just looked at the computer. There was a slight twinkle in his eye. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâYou donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t mind if I try to find the changes? Do you?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ The others saw a glimmer of hope if they believed in him, ad crowded round him as he took off and a barrage of clicking and scrolling. It was a blur most of the time but it was worth it, this was a master at work. Even so when Terry came back, still talking to himself, with the food they all broke away and began to talk amongst themselves. Guessing at how he might actually save the day. David went over to his pod and they heard some grunting and then a thump. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâOk if you would follow me over here.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢

ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâOk as you can see here,ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ He was pointing to a large screen he had ripped out of the pod, and hooked up to the computer. He was pointing to a large map. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâWe canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t see the individual events. We can only see the global effects. So as you can see this is the world in 1926. I am sure you all recognise it.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ The map shifted to a slightly different map. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâThis is the map in 1937. As you can see there are few differences, more people and different concentrations but mainly the same. Now this is the map of 1938. As you can see it looks like Russia has occupied part of Czechoslovakia, and Germany is building a large army. Now then this is the last day of 1939.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ There was a dramatic shift in the map, Germany seemed to be occupying Poland but Czech and Russian forces seem to have divided Germany from its army. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâRussia has invaded Poland, and then Germany seems to have struck back and made a run for Moscow. But the Czechs and Russians have counter attacked and jammed a wedge up to Rostock, even taking Berlin. I will show you in real time what happened next. The German army seemed to get stopped but the weather and by a furious defence from the Red Army. Anyway at Minsk they were stopped and the forces were crushed. Back in Germany it seems that France, Britain, Italy and Spain have poured troops in to prevent a take over. Now then over in America there is a mass build up on the Eastern coastline, thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the side facing the Atlantic. It looks like they were massing an invasion force. But then suddenly there is a white flash. It just crossed the Country starting from Miami and Las Vegas, and stretched in a North Eastern fashion. It destroyed all major cities but Seattle and Vancouver and turned the area into a waste land, there is not any traces of life or civilization, its just desert. Back in Europe though the Allies seem to somehow hold the line against the Russian onslaught, but by some mysterious quirk of fate a Nuclear reaction occurs in Russia, it is quickly utilized and power floods the Russian country. With this increased power they expand so quickly that the Allies are pushed out of Germany in two years. Two more years later and Italy falls, and Russian forces approach mainland France, they are held for a year and a half, but break though eventually. They are hampered only slightly by resistance and advance steadily until they reach Le Havre in the north and Bordeaux in the south. By sheer force they break though in the south and divide Spain and France. The two counties both are still resisting, but France is pushed back to Normandy, and Spain is back to Madrid. Russia is expanding on all fronts though, they have pushed though Africa and Asia, but when they reached the Middle East they were stopped by terrorist resistance. But they are making progress against them in maybe five years they will control four of the six continents. South America is the only land mass not to be affected by the war, well apart from forming the South Atlantic and Pacific Empire or SAPE. They supply arms and food to Europe and the USSR. Oceania is still independent but is part of the USSR, probably from pressure, but itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s fighting the Allies no matter what. Britain is the second least scathed landscape. There was only two attempted landings, the first was in Scotland, and was fought off pretty quickly. The second was more interesting. The boats sent over were vaporised. The boats and everyone aboard them simply vanished. It looks like Prism weapons were used, wherever they got them from, it has protected the mainland from all but the Air Raids. Fortunately the R.A.F. has become powerful enough to maintain air superiority over Britain and France, the majority though is defending the South West Passage, to South America, and some of the Atlantic Islands. But there is something that the majority of the people on the Allied side donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t knowÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæThe Giga Hurricane that hit America, another one, about three times the size hit through China and at the heart of Russia. The Russians can take the attack because of its size, but it has destroyed a large number of its power stations, and factories, so there will be a decline in the attacks for at least five years.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ David had been walking around and had finally come to rest on the side of his pod. It was an incredible amount of information to take on board. He paused for maybe a minute. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâI propose that we forget the assignment that has failed, but it Russia takes complete controlÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæEventually they will develop time travel, and they will enter our timeline and they will destroy them. Time is on our side, and so is technology. Our weapons out class anything they have, with the prism suit we even out class the Prism towers defending the boarders. This is how we will enter the United Kingdom, get to who ever is in charge and start the operation to restore European independence. We have an advantage, but there are only five of us. So we need to get on with it if we are going to remain here.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ The others were shocked, but through the information had come some sort of inspirational force. They would follow him to the ends of the Earth if he continued to act like this. Like he knew what was going on.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Any technology, that is significantly advanced, is indistinquishable from magic

They torn down the few trees that had somehow grown on the island, and Sophia cut them into strips, quickly bonding them with molten iron. They would not hold up to much force but the sea looked calm enough and they could make out a shoreline in this the twilight hour. They were only two man boats really, but there were two of them and five people. Hans and Sophia being the heaviest in their suits went in the same boat, to cut down weight in the three person boat.

There was am eerie calm across the sea as they slowly drifted towards the shore, carried by a current. They had an oar to keep them on course but nothing to move them forward on their own. The moonlight twinkled on the waves, as they cycled over and under the ship.

As they approached the shoreline a powerful light suddenly flaired up, shining from just right, ahead of the boats. They were all blinded as they turned from it. A voice said something a droning cut away at the words away. Richard was the first to make out more than a yellow and red blob, there was something pretty big and pretty firey comeing from behind the, it illuminated the night sky with a magintude greater than anything seen at night. It was a blue, a metallic blue, and seemed to be rising from the water into the air. A wail of machine gun fire flared from the lighthouse, as it appeared to be. The bullets simply bouncing off the shell. It was some sort of flying tank. The machine guns wailed on and on, as if the sheer number of bullets would scare the weapon. But to no avail, it kept coming.

A short distance away another lighthouse shaped object erupted in a plume of blue fire. Sophia was the first to act, firing wild arcs of Tesla energy at the thing. The shell of it began to glow, and then sparks began to arc from it. But it did not slow down. 'It was not going to break from its flightplan in time. It must be mechanical, no electrical.' They were all firing towards it but none of their pistols seemed to be able to break though, and the armour and speed made the Devestator useless against it. Slightly closer this time another lighthouse exploded down the shore.

A rocket, or a missile, or a something took off from the lighthouse. It flew towards the weapon, but was diving downwards. Out of range, but it hadn't even reached the boats, if they waited till then to fire... Richard seized the rifle, it was their only hope left now. The safties on it were heavy, if it was misfired it could cause untold damage. A stream of wavey energy spewed forth, towards the weapon. Another lighthouse exploded just down the way. The rifle's energy connected, and for a short second spread across the device, then the weapon stopped in midair. Each of its atoms being written out of history. The rifle ceased fire automatically, so as not to send out too much energy, incase it hit a satallite or something. And then...the weapon wasn't there. The wail of machine fire had cut off as soon as it had stopped moving. The voice came down though. "Er thanks, I guess. Me and boys were wondering what there weapon you were using, and if you wanted a drink, only got the weak stuff but you know, with the war and all."

They floated sliently towards the beach that the lighthouse overlooked. It was just before they reached the shore that a few miles off the coast a huge tower rose from the water. In the very distance there could be seen another of these towers. Perhaps thirty seconds later it had risen to about 80 feet(25 meters, roughly) above sea level. A brillant light came from it and just down the way an explosion just a few feet from the lighthouse meant the weapons had been stopped. Seconds later there was another fireball falling from the sky.

There was a small welcoming committee waiting for them. Their guns sheathed, which was a bonus. "Welcome to Britian, what are you Free French? Renagade Danes? or Spirited Spaniards?"

"Ragtag group, now weres that promised drink?" It was David, finally seeming to loosen up a bit.

"Ah to business, well we have Bitter, Ale or if you want something with some flavour, Seawater." The party fell about laughing, as did David, though slightly more controlled. The rest of the group felt they were missing something, just making the Brits laugh harder.

"Dear Dear, I kill me. No, we have some Cider down in the cellar, other than that its beer water I'm afraid. We have been saving the Cider, and I think we nearly had our chips tonight so lets celebrate."

The group wandered back up, the British spirit telling them to ignore why five people, two in shiny suits, were roaming the sea at night. That would wait till later.

Five and a half barrels of Cider later, in fact. "Good stuff that, came all the way with Jonesy from Cornwall. Bless him. But enough about us, what about you and your friends? They hardly said a word all night."

"Oh well you know, I was born down in London town. Worked for...oh what was it...The SOE. You heard of them?" There was assorted nodding around the room "Well, I was there and I was Parachuted into German just before war broke our. You see people think we were formed after the war started but old Churchill had us right from nineteen thirty nine. Which reminds me what happened to him?" It seems like an honest enough question, for someone who had been adrift at sea at least.

"Oh he's still up there in the Big Man's chair. Yeah ever since Baldwin was shot down in, what was it nineteen forty two? But yeah he's still there. Where did you go from Germany then?"

"Oh east of course. But you see I had this major problem, I had no money. The flippin pilot had scarpered with it all. Well what was I to do, foriegn country, with no money and no idea. Well thats when I ran into Hans here." David pointed back towards Hans, who had taken off his helmet, and was going a bit red. The Brits nodded at him in respect and turned back to David "Well he set me up with a quick job at the embassey, but of course it closed down! You see it was the Russian Embassy, and that was how I came to meet Sofia." Again he pointed towards Sofia, and they nodded in approval, high regard from them to their enemy. She glared at them when after a few moment they were still watching her and glancing back.

Pathetic Humans. Hurling your bodies out into the void, without the slightest sense of what lies out there. ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a wonder you have got this far.

David gulped down another glass of cider and continued the story. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅAs I was saying, I had just met Sofia when war broke out. I felt that I needed to get out, but the Embassy had come under siege and I could just leave her there. But I came up with a plan. The Russian Embassy had been moved only a few months earlier because of an explosion and so the German Authorities didn't have a full blue print of this building, the only copy being destroyed then. So uses an escape tunnel we came up in the old Embassy." There was some smattered applause but they were losing interest. "So we had to escape. Now we could have gone south-west, towards Switzerland, but I had a feeling they would be watching that route. So we tried heading north, towards Russia. We had barely left Berlin when the Reds exploded up though Czechoslovakia. With no idea where we were going we quickly gave ourselves up to the advancing Russians. Sofia managed to convince the commander that we were all Diplomats, and that we had helped her escape from the Embassy. He gave us both rifles and we were drafted then and there." Everyone was paying a bit more attention now. "Well what could we do? Hans knew a little bit of Russian, and I didn't know any so we didn't fit in at all. But it didn't matter that much, all we needed to know was 'charge' and 'fire'. It was only a matter of time before we came up against an Allied regiment. We were held-up in these little grocers for perhaps two weeks before the Commander finally managed to break us out of there. We fired in suppression only, but the others in our group admired our bravery none the less. We were able to get to talking, one of them knew German, Hans translated for me. One of them had a brother in charge of a Prisoner of War Camp, not far away in Rostock. After a bit of bargaining we were able to get transferred there, as Liaison Officers. There were alot of Germans and my, now, good friend Richard." There attention had slummed a bit, and they simply nodded at Richard. "I learned that he had been in the Polish army, and had been captured first by Russians then by Germans and then by Russians again. But that was where we got stuck, up till last year. We heard a rumour that they were gonna be taking the Prisoners back to Russia, something to do with more weapons. A week later a letter arrived that they were going to take us all back. We knew that if we got back there then we would have no chance of ever getting home. We were completely trapped though, or so we thought. Terry here..." He nodded in the direction of Terry, and everyone else nodded, their interest had slowly come back but they were reserved. "...was part of a rag-tag band of Renegades. On the morning before we were due to leave, about five A.M. We hear the machine gun fire outside. By six it was all over and most of the camp had fled into the Woods around us, or into the city a few miles away. But we needed to get away, back here. Terry's little band had something that could completely change the battle field as we know it. The weapon you saw earlier, that was it. We made pulled a few favours from the people that had escaped to the town and got three boats. We set sail, but about half way across the other boat sprung a leak. We had to abandon it and somehow the other two boats held together until we got here." The tale ended, and there was a bit of admiration but most of them just wanted another drink. The night ended singing bar songs and celebrating just about everything under the sun. The rest of group joined in and before long it was as if they had always been there. It was about two A.M. when they finally went to bed.

In the morning, well afternoon, David and Lieutenant Samson went on a tour of the lighthouse. "ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s just a lighthouse if you are wondering. We don't have any of those fancy weapons you saw destroying the Dives you saw last night. I am afraid all we got is two machine guns and a few rifles."

"Yeah, why were you firing at it with them? It didn't seem to be affecting it at all."

"We have to do something, they are almost immune from our weapons, but thereÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a sweet spot, you see they are pretty much solid Steel, but for the nose cone, thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Titanium. But there in lies its weakness! They are joined only by two latches. If you can shoot of one of the latches then the thing will spiral out into the sea, if you can hit both then it will fall short, into the sea."

"I see, so if you had got lucky last night thereÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a good chance we would have got blown up?"

"Well, err yes. We didn't know who you were. You could have been some sort of spy party for all we know. Anyway, with it that close we knew if we didn't hit it then the Prism wouldn't fire in time. They are a wonder, they really are. Just by being there they halt the invaders, and they give the RAF a better chance at defending the South-East Passage."

"I had been wondering about them. Why do they take so long in deploying? Surely it would be easier to keep them up?"

"If only. You see there are only enough of them to cover a quarter of the coast. They are on runners that stretch right down the East coast, about Eight Hundred Miles. They only cover about five miles each wayÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæSo ten miles at the mostÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæmeans we need eighty operating at any give time to defend the shore entirely. We have eighteen, and two of them arenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t working at their top levels. So as an added safe guard they have our lighthouse. There are a few controls there and we can call on the Prism Towers when we need them. In this area there are three towers, covering about a two hundred and fifty miles. Normally they attack in the south only. When they attack up here they usually send ten Dives at the most. We lose three lighthouses, then itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a good night."

"How can you sustain those kinds of losses?"

"We can't, like it or not if they don't build more towers, or the Ruskies don't stop attacking us then we are gonna have to pull back, and let the Dives attack the towns. You would think the Prism Towers would be a prime target for the Dives, but because we keep moving them they are targeting our command posts instead."

"What about a counter attack...?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
