THAT DARN SEA MONSTER !!!! Horror From The Deep

Hi!!! This is my first guide, So, Please don't kill me! And I'll Post Pictures when I can... :XD:

I. Introduction- Horror From The Deep is probably one of the most rewarding, due to you get a Prayer book... With all that said and done, Wow, Short Intro, But I'm not really much of a intro Person...

II. Stuff you need (i.e. Skills, Items, ECT.)- Here's what I had,

Skills -

Attack-60

Strength-51

Defence-50

Magic-35

Agility- 32

Items, (take these BEFORE the Baby and Mother)

1x Swamp Tar,

2x Planks,

60x Nails,

1x Hammer,

1x Molten Glass,

1x Tinderbox,

1x Agility Pot(4)

1x Games necklace(7)

1x sword (iron, cause it's easy to make,)

1x air, fire,earth,water, rune,

1x arrow, (iron)

Now, To start go to the lighthouse, All you need to do is simply rub you gmaes necklace and click Barbarian Outpost, then head north till you see some Basalt Rocks, TAKE OFF ANY ARMOUR YOU HAVE!!!! and Jump acorss them like nobody's Business, Then head further North, You will see Larissa, Talk to her and say, OF corse I'll help, Now head east, and fix the bridge by using one plank on each side (trust me, I used this MANY TIMES!!) MAking a Make shift walkway, Now use your Games neckalce if your lazy, Like I am, and go to the Barbarian Agility Arena, If you haven't done The Barcrawl, Refer to Tip.IT's guide, Now with the Barcrawl all said and done, If you have UNDER 32-35 Agility, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU GET TO ATLEAST 32 OR YOU WILL BE STUCK!!! IF you do have 32 agility, Simply drink your Agility pot and go talk to the Barbarian in the center of the course, ask fro the key and be on your way, and YOU DO NOT NEED LEVEL 35 AGILITY TO GET OUT! So Stop getting high on agility Pots and get out! Anywho, Head north across the rocks once again and walk through the doorway, Now, talk to Larissa Again, She will ask you to fix the Light in the light house, Now in this order use these on the light, Swamp tar, Tinderbox, Molten Glass, Go all the way down to the ground floor and climb the iron ladder, use your sword, arrow, and runes with it, AND STOP THERE!!! Now, That you have done the easy stuff, Time to get down to business...

In my Inventory

1x Dragon Longsword

1x Dragon Dagger (p++)

330x Chaos Runes

200x Water Rune

200x Fire rune

200x Body Rune

190x Earth rune

20x Lobsters

Now, go back to the area, and Equip your DDS, And Talk to Jossik, After talking to him once Kill the Baby, It's pretty easy to kill, Just special it 4 times in a row, wait till you can Special it, Special, Rinse, Repeat... Now here comes th hard part, After you kill it, Talk to Jossik again, He will say that was it's baby, and the Mother will come out, Equip your staff of air and go at it, But, It changes Color, from, White to Blue to Orange to Brown, To Red To Green to White again, and while it is in each color only a certain kind of attack can harm it...

White-Air spells

Blue-Water Spells

Orange- Melee Attacks ( I suggest DDP or D Long,)

Brown-Earth Spells

Red- Fire Spells

Green- Range attacks

Now, There is a Safe spot, But in order to get the safe spot, MELEE IT DURING ITS FIRST TIME AS WHITE! Now, with that said and done, the safe spot is right next to Jossik, How he takes up 4 squares, Fatty... Go to the square his left hand is on, Thats the ONLY safe spot. Now, Back to the fight, Heal ONLY when your health goes past 30, Cause for some odd reason, He ignores your body Armour after this... Not your kite, Your platebody and platelegs... Anywho, Switch your attack corresponding with his colour, but! When he goes orange, Use the one you hit most often with, When I had my D Long I hit 2's and 3's, With my DDs I hit 10's and 12's Odd eh? Now, when its dead, a Casket will appear in your Inventory Leave and go To his room, The place with the bed, and talk to him, He will say he wasnt as hurt as he thought he was, Liar... THAT BLOODY LIAR!!! Meh... Anyway... He will say to read it, chose a God, I Chose Guthix, Cause I Had all his pages before hand... But It doesnt matter, after choosing he will say ARE YOU SURE? Chose the god, And Voila! You have a Damaged book, Corresponding to the god you chose, You can get more Prayer books, You just need to complete your Previous ones first... I have 2 so far.... And each other one you want Costs 5k, Not that much, But each Page is worth a Pretty Penny...

Was this guide really needed? There's more then enough info in the Tip.It quest guide for anyone to do the quest. I don't remember any spots, so check the guide and offer corrections if some info isn't there.

+1 to the post above me but there is 2 safe spots...just mage him and pray from range i believe.. but i am not going to tell you where it is....(hint hint, by the water somewhere :-$
