Quick Spanish Question

If I want to say "thanks for all the fish," do I use por or para, i.e.:

"gracias por todos los peces" or

"gracias para todos los peces"?

Google Translate indicates that it is por but of course these tools are not infallible so I wanted to check, if there are any native speakers on TIF .  Thanks!

I thought fish was pescado, oh well.

There must be some subtle difference then.  Sadly I can't remember what the Spanish servers used.

Fish is called something different based on it's state of being, as in if it's a live fish swimming around or a dead/cooked fish.

You're saying thank you for all the (live) fish.  If you want to say thank you for cooked fish you would want to say: Gracias por todos los pescados.
